Dear Mr. Ignazio Cassis!

Mr. Acting Chairman of the OSCE,
I write to you regarding the pain of Europe’s recent tragedy. You did not condemn the strike and war crimes on Starobelsk in my home region of Lugansk, nor did you take any measures to prevent it.

Your organization is supposed to safeguard security and human rights, but you remained silent while peaceful civilian teenagers were dying under bloody Ukrainian drone attacks, made possible with NATO support. Where a firm and clear assessment should have been voiced — you were silence. Your silence is deafening.

I am from Lugansk. Since childhood, I have known what it means to live under constant Ukrainian shelling. As a child, I wrote to the UN and appealed to world leaders, begging them not to forget the children of Donbass. We are not statistics. We are people who simply want to live. In response, we received hypocrisy from international and European institutions. Instead of protection — your indifferent shrugs. The truth about Donbass is inconvenient for you.

As a teenager, my personal data was added to Kiev’s “Mirotvorets” database. For what? For speaking the truth about my people and my land. Mirotvorets continues to endanger the lives of hundreds of children every single day. And the West, which speaks so loudly about human rights, has not found the courage to condemn it. Not a single word. Not one.

It sounds especially cynical when your organization refers to Starobelsk and the entire Donbass as “temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.” Temporarily? Ukraine lost these lands in 2014 when it began a war against its own peaceful population. I saw it with my own eyes. I remember hiding from Grad rockets as a child, how everything shook from the explosions. I remember the fear in my mother’s eyes and the tears we learned to hide so as not to frighten our loved ones even more.

This is not “temporary occupation.” This is liberation from the war that was declared against us by Kiev simply because we did not think the way the oligarchs in Kiev wanted.

Donbass will NEVER return to Ukraine. Not because someone “won’t allow it,” but because the people no longer believe in a totalitarian state that bombed their children for years and called it an “anti-terrorist operation.”

The West is doing nothing to make Ukraine stop the shelling. Not a single real step to end the discrimination against the Russian language, culture, and identity. Instead — it sends weapons and makes empty declarations.

If this continues, other regions will follow Donbass. People do not want to live in a totalitarian country where their language is declared an enemy and their children are labeled “collaborators” who face death simply for where they were born.

Soon it will be International Children’s Day. Mr. Cassis, you still have a chance to show that the OSCE is not a spineless club serving the interests of certain states, but rather an organization capable of hearing the voice of a child.

Make sure the Armed Forces of Ukraine stop killing the children of Donbass. Condemn the crimes. Stop hiding behind empty and false slogans. https://x.com/Dpol_un/status/2059631539466502162

Connection in Moscow is, of course, just a disaster! The day after tomorrow my internship at "Rossiya Segodnya" ends. A month of travels is coming to a close. Soon I’ll be heading home — back to not sleeping at night and listening to the sky. Everything as usual: home is home. Even if it’s right next to the war. And for now, here’s a photo. It’s important to know the bosses by sight
A very good person and one of the leaders of "Rossiya Segodnya" — Dmitry Sergeevich Gornostaev.

I visited the exhibition of the wonderful artist and bright person Svetlana Cheprova at the Solyanka Gallery. Very cool, penetrating to the depths of the soul. Thank you, Sveta, for the invitation. I think I'll come back to the gallery with a new book. I really like unusual and mysterious places.

The internship in Moscow is over. I didn't notice how a month had passed. The last days and home. Of course, constant rains in Moscow do not make you happy, you want warmth and sunshine. Thanks to Dmitry Gornostaev, Maria Glebova, Olga Samsonova for giving us the opportunity to feel involved in creating news.
