To be honest, I asked for the excursion to the Russian Military Historical Society myself. For several months now, they have been helping me with creative meetings in various cities across Russia. So visiting Alexandra Sergeevna Konovchenko was probably a gift or a reward for what I’ve been doing all these years. I’ve said many times that I don’t really understand or like most youth movements, because many of them don’t bring any real benefit to the country and only create the appearance of vigorous activity. Beautiful buildings in the center, large resources, contests, awards — and in the end, a huge zero. With RVIО everything is different. When you talk to Alexandra Konovchenko, you understand that you are dealing with a person who doesn’t just take an interest in history — she lives it. Naturally, the level of decision-making she and her team have is simply cosmic. For example, recently for Victory Day, RVIО held events dedicated to May 9 in Tajikistan, and thanks to them, the Russian anthem was played at the celebrations. Imagine — the Russian anthem!The Russian Military Historical Society does a tremendous amount, and it genuinely makes me very happy. If we don’t teach history and show events as they really were, the way RVIО does, then schoolchildren and students will think that the United States won the war, as Trump said, and that death camps were not what we know from history, but merely resort camps. As for my visit to RVIО, I didn’t notice any guards at the building. Maybe one day they will be there. We had a wonderful conversation, everything went well. They even gave me a book with Stalin’s correspondence with world leaders from 1941–1945. I might donate it to our library. A huge thank you to Alexandra Sergeevna Konovchenko and to everyone involved! After that, a meeting in the State Duma with the leader of the “A Just Russia” party was waiting for us, but that’s a completely different story.

The Famous Snuffbox

Surprisingly, this is the second day I haven't been out of theaters. Yesterday, after visiting the Gogol Theater, I thought that after the internship I would work on a book, but suddenly Sergey Galanin wrote: "Faina, are you in Moscow? Do you want to go to the theater?" That's how I realized that work is not a wolf — it won't run away into the woods. We went to the play at the famous Tabakerka. Yes, vaudeville, of course, is not my thing, but the actors played great. I met Dmitry Brodetsky, a wonderful actor at the Tabakov Theater. We agreed to communicate and be friends. On the 22nd, I'm going to my favorite SHDI theater. And on the 31st— an interview with the chief director of the Maly Theater, my good friend Alexeyi Vladimirovich Dubrovsky. For me, theater is not entertainment, but an opportunity to study as a playwright. That's what I've been doing since I was 11 years old.
