Today, on February 18, 2026, in the Istra Central Library named after A. P. Chekhov, in the Children's Library department, seventh-graders of the Chekhov School and the Lermontov School met with a writer from Lugansk, Faina Savenkova.
Faina Savenkova is a writer, a student of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University, a member of the Writers' Union of the LPR.
Her work addresses the eternal themes of peace and hope, humanism and the protection of childhood.
Faina shared with the guys her thoughts on where ideas for new works come from, answered questions, and also told a little about the novel "Code Name Marta", written in collaboration with the famous writer A. Kontorovich, and donated these books to our library.
The seventh-graders reacted with interest to the work of the young writer, shared their opinions about their favorite works and learned that the books by F.M. Dostoevsky and A.P. Chekhov were the most significant for Faina herself.
This meeting will remain in the memory and hearts of the guys
for a long time.
