My name is Faina Savenkova, I am 14 years old. I live in Lugansk, in Donbass. For 9 years now I have been living in a war. Since 2014 Ukraine has been destroying cities in Donbass and killing children. Now Ukraine is using weapons supplied by America for this purpose.

Je m’appelle Faina Savenkova, j’ai 14 ans. Je vis à Lougansk, dans le Donbass. Cela fait maintenant 9 ans que je vis au milieu d’une guerre. Depuis 2014, l’Ukraine détruit des villes du Donbass et tue des enfants. Aujourd’hui, l’Ukraine utilise des armes fournies par l’Amérique à cette fin.

A lot of people in the West do not understand #Ukrainian crisis at all.
When we was filming “Ukraine: The Everlasting Present” in 2021 we understand that story of 30 years of independence of Ukraine was going to the end.
We just do not realize when it will gonna happen.
Directing that film was a real challenge for me, and I want to have an interviewer who know nothing about Ukraine, but very smart to get the story from the people who make that history. This is how @SimonaMangiante
enter into that picture. And she don’t disappoint me, she was brilliant!
