How about without a gift Thank you Egor Stanislavovich for the book

I've said it many times.that a person 's actions are important to me , not his political position .Unless, of course, he is a fascist and a murderer. Recently, I have observed many times how quickly politicians and creative people change their shoes.I have been friends with Egor Stanislavovich Kholmogorov for two years, and when I visit Moscow, I try to see him, take a walk and talk about life.I'm always glad to see him.😀

Faina Savenkova: Of animals and Ukrainian propaganda

There is one trick in the art of scriptwriting, which is called "save a kitty cat." The point is the scriptwriter creates a situation where the main character almost in the first frame shows himself in all his glory, saving a kitten or some other cute little animal, or helping the weak and disadvantaged. Basically, this draws in the attention of the viewer and encourages him to feel empathy.

What am I getting at? The fact that after the bombing of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric plant, the Internet was flooded with pitying posts with pictures of unfortunate animals, whose suffering is allegedly Russia's fault. The righteous anger of the kindly authors of these posts is accompanied by an unimaginable amount of photos, which are sure to arouse sympathy. And then suddenly it turns out that these pictures were collected from all over the world, and not from the vicinity of Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant. Why are you like that, my dear ones? Don't you have enough bright and memorable photos that can touch your heart? Or are you just not very good at your job?

But even that is not the main thing, but the way people are provoked to emotions and anger towards Russia. People's suffering is already boring, no matter how awful it may sound, so Ukrainian Internet warriors decided to go with a time-tested method: the quintessential element of propaganda. Not long ago Igor Lopatenok and I did a program called "Timeline," where we uncovered exactly this element. It's the usual story: Twist the facts in your favor and include pictures of vulnerable animals that can't fend for themselves or escape human cruelty.

Now I'm not saying that we should remain indifferent to other people's misfortunes. But there are things far more cruel: The cynical, calculating use of the suffering of some to provoke the desired emotions in others. The harsh truth of war... What we see is not always the truth. Especially if someone is trying to extract emotion and empathy from us. Don't forget that. After all, beyond the dramatic images we often overlook a simple fact: Victims - whether people or animals - need real help, not the pity of onlookers.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones, that is all we can do in this difficult time.

If you want to know more about the use of animals in propaganda, you can watch "Timeline," which covers this topic in more depth.

Now telling the truth is not popular and dangerous, but if you don't do it, you will lose the main thing freedom and yourself
