β€ Ovule is formed from an ovarian tissue. Each ovule contains one megaspore mother cell (2n). [2m]
β€ The embryo sac mother cell (2n) undergoes meiosis to form 4 haploid megaspore cell (n). [2m]
β€ Three megaspores degenerated and only one megaspore will continue to develop. [1m]
β€ The remaining megaspore undergoes mitosis three time to form a with eight nuclei. [2m]
β€ Three cell move to one end near to micropyle, forming two synergid cell and one egg cell. [1m]
3 cell = 2 synergid + 1 egg
β€ Three more cells move to another end to form three antipodal cell. [1m]
β€ One cell with two nuclei located at the center to form polar nuclei. [1m]
β€ The structure formed is known as embryo sac which is protected by integument. [1m]

β£In the anther, there are four pollen sacs on each lobe
β£In each pollen sac, there are hundreds of pollen mother cell called microspore mother cell which are diploid (2n)
β£The microspore mother cell divides by meiosis to produce 4 haploid (n) microspore cells. They are known as tetrad.
β£Each microspore mother cell undergo mitosis to become pollen grains.
β£The nucleus in the pollen grain divides by mitosis and produce 2 nuclei, namely the generative nucleus and tube nucleus.

β‘οΈPollination occurs when the wall of anther is dry, and it shrinks and split
β‘οΈThis causes pollen grain from pollen sac to release.
β‘οΈThe pollen grain is transferred to stigma by pollinating agents such as insects, wind and animal.
β‘οΈThe pollen grains stick to the glucose in the stigma.
β‘οΈThe glucose molecules then stimulate the germination of pollen grains.
β‘οΈIt will form a pollen tube.
β‘οΈThe pollen tube grows down towards the ovule through the style.
β‘οΈThe generative nucleus will move along the pollen tube towards the ovule and divide by mitosis to form 2 male gametes (n).
β‘οΈEnd of pollen tube secrete enzyme to digest the tissues of style.
β‘οΈUpon reaching embryo sac, pollen tube penetrate the ovule through micropyle.
β‘οΈTube nucleus degenerate. Both male gamete enter the embryo sac.
