of today's heart to heart talk on the topic of "are you just living..or just surviving?" by shaikha dr tamara gray @muis

she mentioned about
• THE FORMULA IN LIFE: 1) rmbr the blessings Allah has given us (eg. shelter/family/rizq)
2) rmbr malaikat jibril
3) rmbr who is on our side (allah)
• these are the things we need to remind/ponder each time whenever our iman felt low.

• to love allah for the blessings, do not be taken from the attackers/online attacks

• when you start to overthink that smtg is bad, that means you are thinking bad of Allah

of today's lecture series at maa today, by puan murni abbas on a topic of "achieving a harmonious marriage"! 💍👩‍❤️‍👨

talking abt the struggles in a marriage at school can be abit....interesting and weird at the same time cs we're still grp of innocent students, but hey! this crucial topic does not come frequently, hence why nooot, keke! ><

fun fact! she's a wife to our cikgu in sch so its very sweet seeing them both in one frame aw loveybirds 🕊️👀

anyways!
• she emphasised on how we shld find a partner by considering someone who has good traits rather than good looks. (u basically won a lottery if they're a both 😛)

• set the right intention when finding a partner (dpt keredhaan Allah & make guidance to enter paradise lillah taala)

• in order to achieve a harmonious marriage,
you shall need to:

acknowledge it.
identify the red flags.
open to self-reflect.
gain & give feedbacks.
agree to make improvements.
discuss.
review.
seek help from third party immediately when needed.

she also elaborated that there are five conflict styles and that we shld follow the Owl conflict style upon facing problems!

🦉

what's an Owl Conflict Style?
it represents collaboration and problem-solving.

Owls highly value both their own goals and their relationships.

Rather than viewing conflict as a win-lose battle, they treat it as a problem to be solved together, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes where all parties win.
so let us all become an owl!

I was staring into the dark when i suddenly remembered something my mum once told me.

"In the Akhirah, Allah will question every single thing we do."

That thought stayed with me.

Not just our prayers & fasting, but our work. How we earned our money & how we spent it. The way we treated our parents, our spouses, our children, our friends & even strangers. The words we spoke. The promises we made. The time we wasted. The blessings we were given but rarely thanked Allah for.

Sometimes we think, "It's only a small good just a small sin," or "No one saw it."

But Allah saw it.

Sometimes we think, "It's only a small good deed."

Allah saw that too.

Allah says:

"Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it & whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it." (Surah Az-Zalzalah 99:7–8)

The Prophet ﷺ also said that a person will not move from their place on the Day of Judgment until they are asked about their life, their youth, their wealth, how they earned it & how they spent it, & what they did with their knowledge. (Jami' at-Tirmidhi)

One day, our jobs, our salaries, our titles, our followers & everything we spent so much time chasing will be left behind. The only thing that will accompany us into our graves is our deeds.

May Allah make us mindful before we speak, before we act, before we earn, before we spend & before we meet Him. May He forgive our shortcomings, accept our repentance & make our questioning easy.

Istiqamah is hard. Some days you feel close to Allah, your ibadah feels easy, and your heart feels at peace. But there will also be days when you feel tired, distracted, and far away. And that's okay.

What matters is that you don't stop trying. Don't think that you have to become a perfect Muslim overnight. Take it slowly. Start again when you slip. Pray even when you don't feel like it. Make dua even when your heart feels heavy. Keep coming back to Allah, no matter how many times you fall.

Sometimes, the smallest things we do consistently may mean more than we realise. So don't underestimate your little efforts. Allah sees you trying, even on the days when you feel like you're not doing enough.

May Allah keep our hearts firm upon His deen, help us stay consistent in our worship, and let us return to Him every time we lose our way. Amin 🤍

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are done consistently, even if they are few.”
