Aunty Heihei: And yet....57 children died since OT was created in 2017 and even then that's just a guess isn't it Matthew? Because you all didn't keep those kinds of statistics. Why wasn't that one of your independent recommendations?
Why didn't OT keep track of the number of children being killed by their own families Matthew?
What independent advice did you give that stopped children being used, abused and killed by their own whΔnau?
What independent advice did you give to hold these child abusing criminals to account?
Before you start slinging words like child abusing apologists around, you need to go look in the mirror my guy because on average a child dies at the hands of their own every 5 weeks and you're part of the change that never happened for the welfare of children. https://x.com/tukakimatt/sta/tukakimatt/status/1926714874454798794

Matthew, as Director of Office of Suicide Prevention, and having been on the Ministerial Advisory Board for Oranga Tamariki, shouldn't you be raising concern about OT actions that push parents and children to suicide?
Especially given you told me directly that Oranga Tamariki staff are lying bastards from bottom to top and can't be trusted. Then added to that by stating Lower Hutt branch is in the worst three in the Country.
Don't you think the Agency's coverups of their lies and corruption push their victims to
, in which case you should be calling the Agency and it's staff out.
Aunty Heihei: I'd like to know what changes Matthew recommended to change this.
Half the children killed were known to OT.....
He needs to get off that damn pedestal he's put himself on.

Groan. God this so lame.
βOperational independenceβ means ministers canβt direct police investigations or tell them who to arrest. But they absolutely can (and must) take a view on public policy settings, like whether itβs acceptable for police to ignore theft under $150.
Mitchell didnβt order arrests. He reacted to a policy scandal. Thatβs ministerial oversight, not interference.
Tim from Newsroom is thick! π Police minister takes a view on police confirming they'll investigate thefts under $150;
Health minister reckons Health NZ should continue to use X to get its messages out.
Whatever happened to 'can't comment on operational matters'? They can, and do, when it suits.
