Well the little darlings are just going to have to get over it aren't they?
They're not rainbow rangatahi. They're just rangatahi, or youth, or adolescents or teens. Young people trying to make sense of the world they live in and their place in it. And they need to do that without all the unnecessary interference from "rainbow" people.
Discover yourself. Embrace life. Be staunch. Be proud. But don't think for a second everyone will approve of you. They won't. And that ok. Because you don't need everyone's love and acceptance. And you need to learn to deal with being rejected.
Labour and rainbow groups have failed children by trying to force them to grow up too fast for a world they're not ready for. Leave children and their innocence alone.
