Ani: I know some of you are going to be mad at me but I have to say it… I do not agree with going after people’s employment because they act like arseholes or are politically opposed to me.
Sometimes there are natural consequences, yes. But I don’t like seeing people’s employers hunted down. Winston got the better of the guy. He doesn’t need to lose his job too.

🀨 Except you are missing the point that the guy works for a company that has many govt contracts & has a code of ethics he breached while wearing the company lanyard…FAFO!

Chris Hipkins throws his lot in with Te Pati Maori. I would be so bold as to suggest he is completely out of touch with the majority of New Zealanders.

Aunty Heihei: Free speech doesn't mean you're free from the consequences of your speech. You can heckle someone. Just don't do it during a public press conference on your way to work against the deputy PM when your company relies on government contracts for work, especially when there's a chance your employer is going to see what you did. He had his work lanyard on. He was easily identifiable.

His employer has a code of conduct that he broke. The consequences he faces are a direct result of the actions he took because his actions have the potential to affect everyone elses pay cheque

Here is his company's code of conduct. They have one for good reason. They explain what it is and why it's important. It's about 8 pages in total. He knew what he was getting into. If he didn't like the employment contract he signed. He shouldn't have signed it. What rights doesn't he have when what he done could have affected the employment of others with his actions? People aren't forced to sign employment contracts. They can seek employment elsewhere that better aligns with their values.
How can the punishment for a social media post be more severe than for raping a child?

Over two-and-half years for a tweet? Absurd.

…the Court of Appeal's refusal to overturn the Lucy Connolly verdict is insane!!!

Former Labour councillor Ricky Jones was filmed telling a crowd that Southport protesters should β€œhave their throats cut.”

He is out on bail.

Meanwhile, Lucy Connolly has had her appeal denied β€” over a tweet she deleted within approximately three hours

It’s a pity that Lucy Connolly didn’t just drive around and shout in a megaphone whilst only targeting Jewish people instead. She would be at home with her family right now.
