Latest progress report for recent custom orders! The first two are complete: a dark brown base model collar, and a silver chonk-spiked collar & cuff set.
Currently have the third piece, a naturepunk-colored punchwork collar, ready to sew its forest green liner in, a double set of cuffs soon to be adorned with lacing, studs & spikes, and another set of cuffs that will end up bright pink with silver spikes and silver sewn borders.
All in all, a good bit of work going into the current orders all the while been thinking up smaller project ideas for some more casual wear. This includes the gloves I'm testing out too~ 👀💚

The last two AnEx custom order pieces are done and headed off to their new homes as of last week! Gonna be responding to a few messages/emails this week, but aside from that, I've got some pieces cooking that I think are gonna be fun to make~

A reminder to find productive ways to mix a bit of exercise into your art routines! I have this granite slab that I use for tooling. Every time its brought out or put away is a set of 10-15 lifts. At roughly 27.5lbs, it isnt heavy heavy, but its at least something & I do see some results in my arms!

Felt the need to share this here alongside bsky cuz it is kinda important.
A good chunk of the stainless steel & solid brass hardware I use for my leatherwork are made in Taiwan. Due to the irrational decisions made yesterday, there's now a 32% tariff on goods from the country. A $5 individual hardware piece is immediately now $6.60 before taxes and supplier greed. This isn't much singularly, but when ordering in batches of 50-100+ per metal color and hardware type, that 32% extra adds up Very quickly.
Those of you planning to get something from me at TFF (hoping AA) & FWA (DD) dont have to worry about this. I was lucky enough to do bulk orders before this all happened, but prices are probably going to need adjusting in the near future. It's been years since last time, raising prices feels gross..
And the irony of all this is that last year was the first I finally felt able to start r&d ideas for more affordable catalog options. I completely understand not being able to afford a $250+ collar or $1.1k+ harness. Trying to create cool, durable, budget friendly pieces while needing to keep a roof overhead and food in mouths sucks total ass 🙃
Bracelets will probably be making a comeback in some way. Fingerless driving gloves are potentially going to be available for custom order at FWA. Recent hardware orders are for ringed belt chains. Wallet chains are an idea too. I just need to make sure I can afford making all these alongside gear..
