Guided into Glory

“You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” (Psalm 73:24, NKJV)

The psalmist reaches this declaration after a deep inner crisis. He had looked at the prosperity of the wicked, and his heart was shaken. But when he enters the presence of God, everything changes—his perspective is realigned with eternity.
“You will guide me…”
There is no uncertainty here. He doesn’t say maybe, but You will. It is a continuous, personal, loving guidance. The Holy Spirit is not distant—He speaks, directs, corrects, and comforts. Even when the path is dark, God’s counsel becomes an inner light. We may not always understand immediately, but we can trust His voice.
“…with Your counsel…”
This “counsel” speaks of divine, perfect wisdom. Not human advice—limited and unstable—but God’s eternal direction. How often the heart is confused, torn between emotions and thoughts? Yet when the Spirit speaks, He brings peace and clarity. The Pentecostal believer knows this inner leading: a conviction, a living word, a gentle push of the Spirit guiding every step.
“…and afterward receive me to glory.”
Here the vision opens to eternity. Not only guidance in the present, but a glorious destiny. God does not leave His work unfinished—He brings it to completion. After the journey, after the trials, after the tears… there is glory. To be “received” means to be welcomed, desired, expected. We will not enter glory as strangers, but as children.
This verse reveals a complete journey:
guidance in the present
communion along the way
glory in the future
Deep spiritual application:
Even when you don’t understand what you’re going through, God has not lost control of your life. His counsel is still working—even in the silence. Your story will not end in confusion, but in glory. Every step led by the Spirit is moving you toward an eternal destiny.
When you feel lost, declare by faith:
“Lord, even if I don’t see clearly, You are guiding me. And I know my end will be in Your glory.”
This is the confidence of a child of God:
not walking alone, not living without direction, and never ending without hope.

Blessed Be the Lord Who Carries Our Burdens Daily

“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation!” (Psalm 68:19, NKJV)

There is a profound depth in this verse: it doesn’t simply say that God removes every burden, but that He carries them for us. This reveals a living, ongoing, daily relationship. Not a distant intervention, but a constant companionship.
“Daily” speaks of God’s faithfulness in the present moment. Not yesterday, not tomorrow—today. Each day has its weight, its battles, its unseen pressures… but it also carries its measure of grace. The Holy Spirit does not ask us to be strong on our own; He comes to sustain, support, and even lift what is crushing us.
The word “loads” or “carries” carries the sense of lifting up, bearing, taking upon oneself. It paints the picture of a God who does not stand far off, but comes close enough to take upon Himself the weight of your soul. This is deeply prophetic—it points to Christ, who bore the weight of sin on the cross, and to the ongoing work of the Spirit in the believer’s life.
There are burdens that cannot be seen: anxieties, oppression, spiritual weariness, inner struggles. At times, the heart feels overwhelmed. But this verse declares a powerful truth: you are not called to carry everything alone. Every single day, God presents Himself as your Burden-Bearer.
In a Pentecostal walk, this becomes a real experience: when the presence of the Holy Spirit fills the heart, what once felt unbearable becomes lighter. Not because the situation immediately changes, but because Someone greater than you is carrying that burden with you.
And then it says: “the God of our salvation.” Not only a final salvation, but a daily, ongoing deliverance. He saves you from collapse, from despair, from abandonment. He even saves you from yourself when your strength fails.
Today, the Holy Spirit invites you into a divine exchange: do not hold onto your burden. Let it go. Place it on the Lord in prayer, in worship, even through tears. He never grows weary of carrying you… and carrying what weighs you down.
There is a supernatural strength released when you stop gripping the burden and start trusting the One who carries it.

IN THE WILDERNESS: THE PLACE WHERE THE HEART IS REVEALED

“How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, and grieved Him in the desert!” (Psalm 78:40, NKJV)

The wilderness is not just a place of testing… it is a place of intimacy.
It’s where God speaks without distractions, where there are no human supports… where it’s just you and Him.
Yet right there, Israel grieved God.
They didn’t grieve Him in Egypt, surrounded by idolatry…
but when they were alone with Him.
🔥 This is powerful.
Because in the wilderness:
they saw manna every day
they drank from miraculous water
they were led by the visible presence of God
And yet… they complained, doubted, and rebelled.
💔 The Heart of God
God is not only grieved by sin…
but by a heart that refuses to trust, even after seeing His faithfulness.
It’s like saying:
“Lord, I know what You’ve done… but it’s not enough for me.”
And this grieves Him deeply.
🌵 Your Wilderness
There are seasons when you also enter a wilderness:
when answers don’t come immediately
when you feel isolated
when God is the only voice left
And that’s where everything is decided.
👉 In the wilderness, you can’t pretend
👉 In the wilderness, your true heart is revealed
You can worship… or complain
You can trust… or doubt
🔥 Spiritual Revelation
The wilderness is not meant to destroy you…
it is meant to purify you.
God allows solitude to see if your heart seeks Him for who He is, not just for what He gives.
True faith says:
✔️ “Even if I don’t see, I believe”
✔️ “Even if I don’t understand, I trust”
✔️ “Even in silence, I worship You”
🙏 Heart Check
Ask yourself:
How do I respond when God leads me into silence?
Is my faith based on answers… or on His presence?
Am I worshiping… or complaining in my wilderness?
Prophetic Declaration
Lord, I don’t want to grieve You in the wilderness.
When everything is silent, I choose to trust You.
When I don’t see, I choose to believe.
In my wilderness, I will worship You.
Transform my heart and make me faithful even in silence.
Amen.

Reward Beyond Every Loss

Matthew 19:29–30 (NKJV)
“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Ruth 2:12 (NKJV)
“The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”

Jesus reveals a truth that overturns human logic: whoever leaves something for Him will receive far more. It is not loss—it is a divine exchange. It is not empty sacrifice—it is eternal sowing. When the heart chooses God above everything, heaven moves to reward that choice.
Ruth is the living embodiment of this word. She was a Moabite—without covenant, without rights among the people of Israel, without visible promises. Yet she made a radical decision: she left her land, her culture, her security. She said, “Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.” She did not just follow Naomi… she followed the living God.
In the natural, Ruth was losing everything. But in the Spirit, she was stepping into the perfect will of God.
Boaz’s words reveal a deep spiritual principle: God Himself becomes the reward of those who take refuge in Him. Ruth did not just receive blessings—she received positioning, identity, and destiny.
And Ruth’s reward was overflowing:
From a foreigner to an heir
From a poor gleaner to the wife of Boaz
From an outsider to being part of God’s people
From unknown to being written into the genealogy of Jesus Christ
Ruth could not have imagined that her decision would touch eternity. From her lineage came the royal line that led to Christ. What seemed like loss became divine elevation.
Jesus confirms the same principle: whoever leaves for His name’s sake will receive a hundredfold. Not “maybe”—but will receive.
There is a reward that begins even in this life, but there is a far greater one that is eternal.
Ruth left out of love, and God filled her life by grace.
This is the call even today: to step out from what is familiar when God calls, to leave whatever holds the heart back, to choose God even when it costs. Because every loss in God is actually an eternal investment.
When you take refuge under His wings, your story changes direction. You are no longer defined by your past, but by God’s promise.
And like Ruth, you may not see it immediately… but God is writing something that goes beyond you, beyond time, beyond what you can imagine.
Whoever chooses God above everything will discover that God is greater than everything.

The Joy of the Lord Is Our Strength 🔥

Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10, NKJV) 📖

The Word does not say that our strength comes from favorable circumstances 🌍, nor from our own abilities 💪. The source is clear: the joy of the Lord 🙌.
It is not a human joy—fragile and temporary—but a divine, supernatural joy that flows from communion with God .
In the context, the people were weeping 😢 after hearing the Law. They recognized their sin. But God says: “Do not stay in sorrow—enter into My joy.”
This reveals a deep truth: repentance opens the door 🚪, but the joy of the Lord gives us strength to walk forward 🚶‍♂️🔥.
This “strength” is like a fortress 🏰—a place of protection and stability. When the joy of the Lord fills your heart:
• weakness becomes endurance 💪
• discouragement turns into hope 🌅
• fear loses its power 😨
This joy does not depend on what happens outside 🌪️, but on what God is doing inside ❤️. It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit 🕊️.
Many believers seek strength by doing more—praying more 🙏, fasting more 🍞, striving more…
but forget that true strength comes from delighting in the Lord 😍, enjoying His presence, and resting in His love 🤍.
🔥 Spiritual secret:
Those who dwell in the joy of the Lord become unshakable ⛰️.
Even in trials 🌊, this joy remains.
It is not denying pain—but overcoming it 🏆.
It sings in the valley 🎶, praises in the battle ⚔️, and believes when everything seems impossible 🙏.
This joy is cultivated:
• in God’s presence 🙌
• in His living Word 📖
• in fellowship with the Holy Spirit 🕊️
The more you dwell in it, the stronger you become 💥.
Not because you are strong—but because His joy becomes your strength 💪🔥.
Today, the Lord is calling you 📣
not just to repent… not just to endure…
but to enter into His joy
Because there—and only there—you will find a strength that will never fail 💯🔥

Pouring Out the Soul Before God: From Burden to Peace

“...but I was pouring out my soul before the Lord” (1 Samuel 1:15, NKJV)
“...so the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad” (1 Samuel 1:18, NKJV)

The expression pouring out carries a powerful image: not a restrained prayer, not formal words, but a heart completely emptied before God. It is like a vessel being poured out until the very last drop. Hannah doesn’t just speak—she pours herself out. She doesn’t hold back her pain, she doesn’t hide it, she doesn’t mask it spiritually. She brings it as it is—raw, deep—before the Lord. 💔➡️🙏
This reveals a deeper dimension of prayer: total surrender of the soul. When the soul is poured out, nothing remains hidden. Tears become language, burdens become an offering, and suffering becomes communion with God. 🌊
And here is the key spiritual truth: Hannah enters God’s presence crushed, but she leaves transformed even before seeing the answer. The text does not say she already had Samuel. It says something even deeper:
“her face was no longer sad.” 😊
The miracle begins within.
When the soul is truly poured out before God:
the burden is transferred ⚖️
anxiety loses its grip 🕊️
faith replaces torment 🔥
Hannah rises, eats, and her countenance changes. This is the sign that something has already happened in the spirit. The situation hasn’t changed yet—but she has. The peace of God has already done its work. 🙌
Pouring out the soul means reaching the place where you no longer carry your pain—you place it into God’s hands. And when you truly release it, you cannot remain the same.
Her face was no longer sad because her heart was no longer alone. ❤️

Revelation Preceded by Intimacy

“Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.” (1 Samuel 3:7, NKJV)

There is a deep difference between serving God and knowing God. Samuel was already in the temple , already consecrated, already involved in sacred things… yet Scripture says he “did not yet know the Lord.” This reveals a spiritual mystery: you can be close to the things of God without yet having a true revelation of God.
The word “know” here does not mean simple information, but an intimate, experiential, transformative knowledge 💡. In Hebrew it points to a living, personal relationship where God is not only heard about, but encountered directly 🤍. Samuel lived under Eli’s guidance, but he had not yet developed a personal sensitivity to the voice of the Lord 👂.
“And the word of the Lord was not yet revealed to him.” This means that heaven was not yet opened over him 🌌. Not because God did not want to speak, but because there was an appointed time for revelation . God works in seasons: first He forms, then He reveals; first He prepares, then He speaks clearly 🌱.
There is a phase in the spiritual life where God seems silent 🤫, but He is actually working deeply within 🔥. He is training the spiritual ear. He is purifying motivations 🧎‍♂️. He is teaching how to discern His voice from all other voices 🎯. Samuel, in fact, initially confused God’s voice with Eli’s voice. The same happens today: until we truly know God, we risk confusing His voice with human voices, emotions, or circumstances 🌊.
But the moment comes when God calls your name 📣.
The silence before is not absence—it is preparation 🛠️. The lack of revelation is not rejection—it is gestation 🤰. God was leading Samuel to a turning point: from being a servant in the temple to becoming a prophet who hears directly from heaven 👑.
This verse is a powerful invitation: do not settle for inherited faith, secondhand knowledge, or a superficial experience 🚫. God wants to reveal Himself personally to you 🙌.
The true spiritual breakthrough happens when you move from “hearing about God” to “hearing God” 🕊️.
And when His word is revealed… nothing ever remains the same. 🔥

From an Audible Voice to the Voice in the Spirit

1 Samuel 3:21 (NKJV)
“Then the Lord appeared again in Shiloh. For the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.”

At the beginning, Samuel hears an audible voice—so real that he runs to Eli. God calls him in the most evident way, because his heart is still inexperienced. It is the beginning of a relationship, and God meets him where he is.
“Samuel! Samuel!”
A clear, external, persistent voice.
But this is not the destination—it is only the beginning.
As the chapter progresses, something changes:
Samuel learns to respond:
👉 “Speak, for Your servant hears”
Here is the turning point: it is no longer only God speaking, but Samuel learning how to listen.
And at the end of the chapter, the language shifts completely:
it no longer emphasizes an audible voice, but revelation through the Word.
This is the spiritual progression:
🔹 From an external voice
🔹 To a voice recognized inwardly
🔹 Into a stable communion through the Word
God does not stop speaking—
it is Samuel who grows in his ability to hear.
The voice that was once perceived with natural ears
is now discerned in the spirit.
It is not less real—
it is deeper.
It is not less clear—
it is more intimate.
Now Samuel no longer needs to run to Eli:
he has learned to recognize the voice of God directly.
And so he becomes a prophet:
👉 “the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground”
This is spiritual maturity:
not living on extraordinary moments,
but walking in a continuous sensitivity to God’s voice.
In our lives too, God may begin by speaking in strong, evident ways…
but He desires to take us further:
where we no longer depend on external signs,
but live in a constant inward listening, in the spirit.
Today, that same voice does not shout from the outside—
it speaks within.
And the one who has a willing heart, like Samuel, will still say:
👉 “Speak, Lord… for Your servant hears.” 🔥

Pilgrims of Strength in Dry Valleys
Psalm 84:5-6 (NKJV)

Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
They make it a spring;
The rain also covers it with pools.”

There is a special blessing for the one who has decided that their strength does not come from circumstances, but from the presence of God. This is not just emotional strength—it is spiritual strength, an inner spring flowing from deep communion with the Lord. Their heart is aligned toward Him, like a pilgrim who has already mapped the الطريق to the sanctuary within.
The “Valley of Baca” (the valley of weeping, dryness, testing) is not avoided—it is crossed. Yet here lies the glorious mystery: those who walk with God do not merely endure the valley—they transform it. Where others see dryness, the believer releases springs, because they carry within them the living presence of the Holy Spirit.
The autumn rain represents divine visitation at the right time. God never leaves the journey of those who trust in Him barren. Every tear becomes a seed, every desert a garden, every trial a channel of blessing.
It is not the valley that defines the believer, but the presence of God within them.
And what you are walking through today will become a spring for others tomorrow.
Keep walking—even through the valley.
Because with God, even weeping will bloom.

An Undivided Heart Before God ❤️‍🔥

“Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.” (Psalm 86:11, NKJV)

There is a deep cry in this verse 🙏: it is not just a request for guidance, but for inner transformation. David does not simply say, “show me the way,” but “teach me.” This speaks of relationship, time, and dependence. It is the desire of a heart that longs to be shaped by God, not just informed 📖
Then he says: “I will walk in Your truth.” It is not enough to know the truth—we must live it 🚶‍♂️💡 God’s truth is not an abstract concept, but a path to walk on daily, even when it costs, even when everything within us wants to turn aside.
But the most touching part is this: “unite my heart.” 💔➡️❤️ Why does David pray this? Because the human heart tends to be divided: one part seeks God, another seeks the world; one part trusts, another doubts; one part obeys, another resists.
A divided heart cannot walk steadily in the way of God ⚠️
David understands that the real problem is not external, but internal. That is why he prays: “Lord, make my heart one.” ❤️ An undivided heart is focused, consecrated, fully turned toward God. It fears His name—that is, it honors Him, reveres Him, and loves Him above all things 🙌🔥
This is still a prayer the Holy Spirit desires to place within us today:
not just direction… but transformation
not just knowledge… but inner unity ❤️
When God unites our heart, we stop living a half-hearted faith. We become stable, deep, and rooted 🌳 And then we can truly walk in His truth with strength and consistency 💪
Prayer 🙏:
Lord, teach me Your way. I don’t just want to know—I want to live Your truth. Unite my heart, remove every double-mindedness and division within me. Let me fear Your name with a pure and undivided heart ❤️‍🔥 Amen.

Psalm 91:9-10 – Because You Have Said…

“For you have said, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’
and you have made the Most High your dwelling,
no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your tent.”

The psalmist invites us to a living declaration of faith: “For you have said…”. This is not passive observation, not philosophy or good intention, but a word you speak and truly believe.
Pause here: do we really say it? Do we speak it daily, with conviction, with heart and lips? When we declare “The Lord is my refuge,” are we speaking spiritual reality or just empty words?
Truly believing means:
Making God our refuge in danger – in anxieties, sickness, and trials.
Making the Most High our dwelling – living in His presence, relying on His protection at all times, not only when life is easy.
Trusting in His promise – that no evil will touch us, that no plague will reach our tent.
This is active faith. It is trust that transforms circumstances because when we speak it and believe it, we are declaring our covenant with God. No fear, no anxiety can prevail over those who live in the awareness of divine protection.
💡
Today, when you rise or when your heart is troubled, declare with conviction:
“The Lord is my refuge, the Most High is my dwelling.”
Not as empty words, but as a declaration of spiritual reality, and let your heart receive the peace that comes from trusting Him.
🌿
Remember: it is not just saying it, it is believing and living as if it is already true. The enemy cannot touch you when you truly place your life under the protection of the Most High.

The Depth of God’s Thoughts
Psalm 92:5 (NKJV)

“O Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep.”

There is an immense distance between what we see and what God is actually doing. We often judge on the surface, evaluating situations based on appearances, but God’s thoughts go far deeper. 🌊
When everything feels confusing, when circumstances make no sense, when answers seem delayed… God is not silent—He is working in the deep. 🔥
His thoughts are not shallow, not improvised, not limited by time or human emotion. They are deep, eternal, and perfect. Every detail of your life is immersed in a plan that goes beyond your understanding.
What you don’t understand today will reveal God’s wisdom tomorrow.
What feels heavy today is working for something greater. 💪
What seems empty right now is actually full of His hidden work. 🌱
The problem is not that God isn’t acting…
it’s that His thoughts are too deep to be understood by a natural mind. 🧠
That’s why faith becomes essential: to believe when you don’t see, to trust when you don’t understand. 🙏
God does not work on the surface…
God digs, builds, and transforms in the deep. ⛏️
And right there, in the deep where no one sees, He is preparing your victory. 🏆🔥

“GOD’S DELIVERANCE POWER”

Psalm 54:7 (GNT) says, “You have rescued me from all my troubles, and I have seen my enemies defeated.”

This verse is a testimony of God’s power to deliver. David speaks with confidence and gratitude. He does not say “some troubles” he says all. This shows that there is no situation too hard for God. If God rescued David from all his troubles, then He is able to rescue you from every situation you face today.

It is God who rescues His people. He has the ability to save you from every kind of trouble. When the psalmist says, “You have rescued me from all my troubles,” it means there is no condition, no pain, no bondage, and no danger that is beyond God’s power. Nothing is impossible for Him.

Think about this: a few days ago, an American fighter jet was shot by Iranian army and the pilot fell deep into enemy territory. The American had to rescue their pilot but it was difficult because of the location where the pilot fell. The rescue mission was called “impossible” because of the danger and distance. Yet they still went and rescued him. It cost them millions of dollars and expensive equipment. Why? Because they value their soldiers and do not want their enemies to mock them.

Now think about God. He is the Lord of hosts, with countless angels at His command. If human armies can perform such costly rescues, how much more can God rescue you? It does not matter how deep you have fallen or how far you are in enemy territory. God can reach you. You are precious to Him.

God has already shown His willingness to rescue. He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, on a rescue mission. Jesus died and descended into the place of darkness, but on the third day, God raised Him by His Spirit. This is the greatest rescue ever. It proves that God can deliver you from any depth.

Maybe you feel trapped today in sin, addiction, fear, or spiritual bondage. Maybe your family has a history of struggles, curses, or patterns of suffering. Maybe you feel surrounded by darkness. But hear this: God can rescue you. There is no chain He cannot break.
David said, “You have rescued me from all my troubles.” When he says “all,” he means all. And then he says, “I have seen my enemies defeated.” This shows that God did the work, and David believed, watched, and received.

Today, believe God. Trust His power. He will rescue you. Nothing is too hard for Him.

Prayer: Lord, rescue me from every trouble and show Your power in my life.

Light Sown for the Righteous

Psalm 97:11 (NKJV)
Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.”

There is a deep truth in this verse: light is not only given… it is sown. That means even when you don’t see it yet, God has already planted something within you and ahead of you that will inevitably bear fruit.
There are seasons when you walk through darkness, when circumstances feel heavy, when everything seems silent. But this verse reveals a spiritual reality: for the righteous, light has already been sown. It will not come by chance, it is not uncertain… it is already in the soil of your life, and God is watching over that seed.
The righteous do not live by what they see, but by what God has established. And while the world speaks of darkness, God declares that your light is growing. Even beneath the surface, even in silence, even in pain.
And together with light, there is gladness. Not a shallow happiness, but a deep, divine joy reserved for the upright in heart: those who remain faithful, who guard their integrity, who continue to trust even when they don’t understand.
This is a prophetic word:
your season is not defined by the darkness you walk through, but by the light God has already sown for you.
Soon you will see what is now hidden rise to the surface.
Soon you will reap what God has planted.
And that light will not only guide your path… it will become a testimony for others.

When the Flesh Reaches for What Only God Can Hold

2 Samuel 6:6 (NKJV)
“And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.”

There is a moment in the walk of faith where everything shakes—where what carries the presence seems unstable.
At the threshing floor, in the place of testing, Uzzah stretched out his hand. What looked like help… was actually interference. What seemed right… was disobedience.
God is speaking:
🔥 Do not touch what I have not asked you to carry.
🔥 Do not steady what I am able to sustain.
🔥 Do not replace obedience with instinct.
The real danger was not the ark falling—
it was man thinking he could hold it.
There are seasons when the “oxen stumble” in your life:
plans shake, timing shifts, situations feel out of control.
But this is the word:
👉 Do not reach in the flesh.
👉 Do not try to fix what God is testing.
👉 Do not interfere with what God is ordering.
Because what God carries will never fall.
And what He allows to shake is revealing your heart.
God is not looking for hands that react—
but for hearts that obey.
Stay in reverence.
Stay in alignment.
Stay in trust.

“CONQUERING THE FEAR OF THE SAME FATE”

Psalm 91:7 (NKJV) says, “A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.”

This verse is a powerful promise of God’s protection. It shows a picture of danger all around, people falling on every side yet the one who trusts in God remains safe. This is not due to luck or strength, but rather to God’s protection. It reminds us that even in the middle of a crisis, God can preserve His people.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I visited an elderly man in the hospital. He had gone there for a minor surgery on his leg, but the doctors delayed it because he had high blood pressure. He was admitted until his blood pressure stabilized. When he was there, he saw many patients being admitted with COVID-19 and many of them died. Because it was a small hospital, he knew some of them, people his age.

After two days, fear took over his heart. When I visited him, he said, “Many of my friends have died here. I told God to take me also because I don’t think I will survive.” I was shocked. I asked him, “Are you infected with COVID-19?” He said, “No, but people are dying. I won’t survive this.” Because he saw many people dying he also surrendered to death, although he was not even sick.

I opened my Bible and read Psalm 91 to him, especially this verse. As we talked about God’s protection, his understanding changed. He realized he was not even sick. He was only there for a small surgery. Fear had made him believe he would share the same fate as others. But the truth set him free.

Many people today have the same fear. They believe what happened to others will also happen to them. Maybe your family members failed, and you think you will fail too. Maybe others lost their jobs, and you think yours is next. Maybe others became sick, and you fear the same outcome.

But the Bible says, “A thousand may fall at your side… but it shall not come near you.” A thousand is a large number. Ten thousand is even greater. If a thousand people die because of something it is a National crisis. Yet God says you will be preserved.

This means your life is not controlled by what happens around you. It is controlled by God. When you trust Him and make Him your refuge, He sets you apart. Your story does not have to follow the same pattern as others.

Today, reject the fear of the same fate. The failure of others is not your destiny. The sickness of others is not your portion. God is your protector. He will keep you and carry you through.

Prayer: Lord, remove fear from my heart and help me trust in Your protection.

Spiritual Alertness: Recognizing the Enemy and Standing Firm 🛡️🦁

1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

The apostle Peter is not speaking to unbelievers, but to believers. This makes the message even more urgent ⚠️: there is a real enemy—active, intentional, strategic. He is not symbolic; he watches 👀, studies, and looks for an opening.
“Be sober” means having a clear and disciplined mind 🧠—not intoxicated by distractions, sin, or spiritual apathy. Sobriety is an inner condition: a heart aligned with God ❤️‍🔥, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, able to discern.
“Be vigilant” implies constant watchfulness . This is not occasional awareness, but a lifestyle. A vigilant believer is not caught off guard, because they live in ongoing communion with God 🙏
The enemy is described “like a roaring lion” 🦁. The roar is meant to intimidate, to paralyze through fear 😨. But notice—Peter says “like” a lion, not that he is the lion. The true Lion is Christ 👑. The enemy imitates, bluffs, and uses fear to gain ground.
“Seeking whom he may devour” reveals something powerful 🔥: he cannot devour everyone. He looks for those who are vulnerable—those who give him access. Where there is vigilance, faith, and submission to God, the enemy finds no room 🚫
The next verse (v.9) completes the picture: “Resist him, steadfast in the faith.” Victory is not found in running away 🏃‍♂️, but in standing firm 🧍‍♂️. Not in fear, but in faith ✝️
When you are sober and vigilant, the roar no longer controls you—you recognize it. And when you recognize it, you don’t retreat—you stand, grounded in the authority you have in Christ ⚔️
The battle is real ⚔️, but so is your position: you are not helpless prey—you are a child of God 👑, called to watch and to stand firm.
