Two weeks ahead of Recall’s launch on new Copilot+ PCs on June 18, security researchers have demonstrated how preview versions of the tool store the screenshots in an unencrypted database. The researchers say the data could easily be hoovered up by an attacker. And now, in a warning about how Recall could be abused by criminal hackers, Alex Hagenah, a cybersecurity strategist and ethical hacker, has released a demo tool that can automatically extract and display everything Recall records on a laptop.

🧠 Last week, Microsoft introduced its Copilot AI bot on Telegram.

😌 I am not surprised to see big tech launching their apps on Telegram. Telegram is the only platform that is friendly to all AI developers and doesn’t impose its own competing chatbots on users.

⭐️ The new Stars payments, where Telegram takes almost no commission (less than 5%) and subsidizes ads, are not only lucrative for developers but also compliant with Apple’s and Google’s rules. That’s why we will recommend bots and mini apps that accept Stars in relevant parts of the Telegram apps.

📬 For example, we will start showing an AI section of our upcoming “Mini App Store” to businesses that are adding bots to process customer feedback. Or suggest bots that help create stickers to the users who try our Sticker Maker ⭐️

And so on. The possibilities are endless ⭐️

‘Community Notes’ coming soon to Telegram — Report

A fact-checking function has been discovered in the source code of the beta version of Telegram for Android, which will add context to news displayed on the platform, according to the Durov Code Telegram channel.

The app will cooperate with verification agencies appointed by governments of the countries where Telegram operates.

It will also be possible to see which agency was involved in the verification, and that ordinary users will not be able to influence the content.

APPLE'S HUGE AI ANNOUNCEMENT IS A CHATBOT AND AN IMAGE GENERATOR, WHICH IS THE EXACT SAME BORING OFFERING AS MICROSOFT, GOOGLE AND META

During the company's Worldwide Developer's Conference, Apple unveiled what it's calling "Apple Intelligence," a set of machine learning features to be integrated across its desktop and mobile platforms (iOS 18).

In other words, most of Apple's huge and much-hyped AI play amounts to a chatbot and an image generator — the exact two products we've already seen from Microsoft, Google, Meta, and pretty much any other tech outfit caught up in the AI hype game.
