Media is too big

Though the beginning may look small, the journey ahead carries the potential for great growth.
Beyond the Classroom is just starting built with vision, effort, and belief in what students can become beyond academics.
What began at ATTC College is only the foundation of something much bigger.
This is our beginning.

Metasebia and the Addis Futures Lab team are looking for paid beta testers for their AI and fintech tools.
They’re building two new platforms focused on helping people unlock financial opportunities and earn through their phone.
It’s still early, so your feedback can actually shape the product from the ground up.

Many young people in Ethiopia (15–24) are living lives that are heavily shaped by family expectations, society, and the environment they grow up in. I’ve even noticed this pattern in myself.
From what we study, to how we behave, what we consider “success,” and even what we think we like or dislike so much of it is already pre-defined before we ever get the chance to question it. It’s like a system that gets installed into us early, and we just run it without debugging.
In a way, it’s similar to software: the environment acts like a programmer, and our mindset becomes the program. We load beliefs, habits, and limitations without even realizing they were “installed,” not chosen.
But here’s the shift we need to make:
We are not just outputs of our environment we are capable of rewriting the code.
- We need to start questioning:
- Who am I beyond expectations?
- What do I actually want, not what I was told to want?
- What skills, mindset, and life path truly align with me?
- What parts of my identity are inherited, and what parts are intentional?
Real growth starts when you stop living on autopilot and start intentionally designing your life.
The goal is not to reject family or society it’s to become conscious enough to choose what to keep, what to upgrade, and what to delete.
Because if you don’t define yourself, something else will do it for you.
And that’s the real risk.
