Okay final things for Friday. One forgotten win and one came after I wrote about the progress:

1. Dawit Getachew is releasing a live music and he’s my #1 singer/musician including secular ones and he’s not secular fyi (This is the forgotten one)

2. I was reviewing my mentor’s PR and I gave him a feedback and we had a back and forth conversation about it and he agreed to my comments 😁 yaaay me. Anyways this week was full of everything.

@CodeSober if you’re into AI, Data Science and Self-taught programming stuff I highly recommend this channel. I’ll bet my neck on this channel if you don’t find it useful. Show her some love pps 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️😍😍.

So the reason why I would bet my neck on this is because I know where she started and how far she has come and where she’s going. Trust me you’ll madly fall in love with the channel.

Tech topic of today is:

PRs’ are like any other communication channels. This is more a comparison between my previous company PR formats and my current. In the previous one PR is more of feature release where the PRs’ were huge and the process was simple you test the PR and if it works you merge it. We tried to make them micro PRs’ using user stories to make them manageable was good though. But here all PRs’ are enforced to be micro and the review process is not to check whether it works or not but whether everyone reviewing it understands the approach, implementation and everything. So for a single micro PR you might have 25-30 comments and everyone asking what they don’t understand about your approach or giving better suggestions and everything. In a sense things move slowly but you’ve high chance of merging a safe PR than the previous one. But this is not to down play the previous one because the two companies are completely different. One can afford slowness but not quality. For the other one it can’t afford slowness because they’ve to ship fast and patch things until it becomes stable but had a good process for the quality control with few people reviewing the PR and ability to merge the PR.

Lovely week tech nerds.

Mid week so story time. This happened in Manchester. I went to the game with my boy who’s a United fan and I’m not just in case you thought 😁. Anyways he texts me and says he wants to go to Old Trafford and asked me if I want to as well.

UK me, I don’t say no to fun so I agreed. He handled the tickets and my one job was to handle the hotel booking. In which I did a great job 👏. Thank you 😁 but it didn’t last long. After a whole full day of Saturday we went to the place we’re staying and I didn’t book hotel, I booked Airbnb.

Yaaay me because it was cheep 😂. Before arriving to Manchester I made a hug scene informing the owner that we’ll be there in the moring before 12 and he should make things ready for us mnamn neger because the actual check in time was at 3. After all this drama and the owner arranged the place for us before 12 we ended up going to the place at 6 🤦‍♂️.

So now we’re at the door except for this tiny tinny mistake which was the door number was 26 and we knocked at 28. So we rung the bell, knocked hard and no one was responding. We saw a woman in the house chilling with the tv open and laptop on the other hand.

So we thought why not knock the window and ask her to open the door to us . And my boy gives that task to me. So I did what we decided. So she saw me through the windows and jumped as if she saw an alien and rushed to call the police. The way she jumped I still have it on my brain as a reply video omg 🤦‍♂️.

Anyways she was so frightened with us that she opened the door as if a robbery person came knocking your house. Then we told her what happened and she opened the door as if she felt safe and told us it is the next door not this one.

So we apologised for it and went back to our place 😭😭😭. If she had a heart or blood related issues she’d have fainted right there 😩.

Long one but hope you enjoyed it.

Three months ago I noticed something.

Ethiopian AI startups were shipping real products. Real APIs. Real intelligence.
But Flutter devs? We were stuck reading raw docs, wiring endpoints, fixing edge cases alone.

So I built a Flutter SDK for Hasab AI.
Didn’t expect much.

People loved it.

That moment told me something important
This ecosystem doesn’t lack talent.
It lacks bridges.

So I kept going.

Today, I’m releasing Addis AI Flutter SDK.
Same mission. Cleaner execution. Better DX.

Flutter devs shouldn’t struggle to use local AI.
It should feel native. Simple. Obvious.

Ordered my lunch and got this card along with it. I think this is the best way to ask for review. Natural, Authentic and Real. This should be adopted in some of our companies as well as a means of getting feedback.

I’m giving them nice review tbh the food is really good to begin with and with the card 👌.
