Whenever we read animal books to our preschooler, we always talk about what sounds the animals make. So when the farmer in our picture book went out and scattered corn for the chickens, I asked my daughter what the chickens say. After thinking a moment, she announced "The chickens say thank you." ๐คฃ Not what I was going for, but I'll definitely take an etiquette win!
