Catalog of Mini-Apps

The Beta version of Telegram for Android now features a catalog of mini-apps.

In the global search screen, users can now access the «Apps» tab. This tab not only allows searching by name but also displays a list of mini-apps previously launched by the user and a section for popular apps.

Additionally, the appearance of profiles for bots that support mini-apps has been updated. Now, these profiles show the number of unique users of the mini-app per month (MAU) and include a button to launch the mini-app.

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, the in-app browser has received many new features.

Now users can:
• open several web pages at the same time (including those from the .ton domain) and mini-apps, and quickly switch between them;
• view browsing history;
• save and manage bookmarks;
• manage cache and cookies;
• change the search engine.

Weather sticker

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, users now can add a weather sticker to their stories.

The sticker displays the air temperature and weather that correspond to the user's location, and allows them to set one of four colors as the background.

Covers for stories

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, it became possible to select a cover for a video story.

Now users can select the frame of the video that will be displayed as the cover of the story in his profile.

User can only select a cover for a story that has already been published. To do this, they should open this story, tap the three-dots button in the upper right corner of the screen and select «Edit Cover».

Flashlight when shooting video messages

The Beta version of Telegram for Android now provides the ability to turn on the flashlight when recording video messages.

The flashlight is turned on by the ⚡️ button and, when recording, works with both the main camera and the front one: in the latter case, a bright white background of the screen is turned on to illuminate the user’s face.
