Gesture Guide for Stories
The Beta version of Telegram for Android now displays instructions on how to use gestures while viewing such content when you first open a story, for example:
• Go to the next story: just tap on the screen or on its right edge
• Pause & rewinding: Just hold to pause a story. Hold and then swipe left or right with one finger to rewind stories.
• Go to last story: tap the left edge of the screen.
• Go to the last or next author: swipe left or right.
• Zoom: Hold the screen and spread your fingers apart to zoom in or out on a picture or clip.

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android, users can choose one of the available colors for their name to be displayed in chats and groups.
The user's name, replies to their messages, and quotes of their words will be displayed in the specified color. In addition, the assigned color will additionally tint the link preview area.
Earlier Telegram assigned a color identifier for a user's nickname at random.
In addition to being able to set a new shade for your nickname, Telegram allows its users to further customize message reply areas.
Keep in mind that you can only choose a background icon for such areas among custom sets with adaptive emoji that are saved to your collection.

Updated Link Previews Block
The Beta version of Telegram for Android has updated the appearance of the link preview, as well as added customization options for it.
Now you can move the snippet from the end of the message to the beginning. In addition, you can customize the preview image size by making it small or expanding it to the full size of the block.
Also, if a message contains multiple links, by clicking on a link you can set the link from which the preview will be generated from.
To open the link preview and customize its view, you should paste the link into the message input field and then click on the corresponding button above the typed message.

The Beta version of Telegram for Android now has an option to reply to a selected part of a message in another chat, group, or channel.
To quote a message fragment in another chat, you just need to hold down the message, highlight the desired sentence and select the "Quote" option. After that, in the quote preview you need to select "Quote to Another Chat" to add your comment to the quote in the selected chat.

To unlock these features, a channel needs to reach level 1. To do so, it needs to collect the required number of boosts from Premium users.
UPD. Now, channels need boost Level 5 to change their name and quote’s color. This may change when the feature will be released.

The Beta version of Telegram for Android now has an option to reply only to a selected part of a message.
To select a piece of text to reply to, simply tap the message, highlight the desired sentence and select the "Quote" option.
If you need to change the content of the quote, just click on the special button above the typed message and in the quote preview select the desired piece of text again.
