The reality is NATO is a US industrial military organisation that costs its members tens of billions every year. NATO was created after World War 2 to counter the USSR which was made up from many Eastern European countries who are now in the EU.

Why NATO still even exists to this day makes no sense as Russia by itself is not a threat to Europe. It is NATO that is destabilising peace in Europe. The more countries close to Russia’s borders that join NATO makes the problem worse. Disband NATO and Russia can stop being forced to protect itself.
