How much is this costing us? Have any elected politicians or civil servants lobbied the government on behalf of the owners of the hotel? Have any staff lost jobs because of the conversion and if so have they been compensated? Have any bookings (particularly tourists/weddings) been cancelled and if so have they been compensated? Has any impact and cost analysis review been carried out to determine how it will affect the local economy, jobs and tourism? Has the Dept of Justice tested the Ukrainian passports presented by applicants to be authentic or fake documents of the future residents? And finally, but certainly not least, will the Irish homeless be offered bedrooms there too?
