Bitcoin mining is now facing the toughest margins in its history

According to Miner Weekly, conditions have tightened sharply:

❗️ Hashprice dropped from ~$55 to ~$35 per PH/s — a structural low.
⚙️ Median hashcost for major public miners sits around $44/PH/s, leaving little room for profit.
⏳ New hardware payback now exceeds 1,000 days — longer than the time left before the next halving.

As margins compress, the market adjusts fast: suppliers reduce prices, buyers delay upgrades, and even large players (like CleanSpark) move to secure liquidity.

This isn’t the first margin squeeze. Historically, experienced miners tend to:
✅ accumulate discounted hardware,
✅ hold it in reserve,
✅ and prepare for the next BTC growth cycle.

The same trend is visible now: many continue expanding during the squeeze, expecting a future rebound.

If Bitcoin recovers, the miners who accumulated hardware “at the bottom” may gain a major advantage.

It’s a rare phase: profitability is low, ASIC prices are falling, and long-term opportunities are emerging. BeMine is already reflecting this shift with reduced prices across several ASIC models.
