Regarding the numerous inquiries received by the Central Bank of Syria about the ways of transferring external donations for the earthquake disaster in Syria, we explain the following:
1- Transfers can be made through any foreign bank that accepts dealing with Syrian banks directly, or through intermediary banks.
2- Transfers can be made through all licensed exchange companies.
3- Transfers can be made through the Western Union network.
The Central Bank of Syria draws the attention of the senders that whatever the way used for money transfer, it will be delivered at the price of the remittance and exchange bulletin (currently 6900 SP for the US dollar, 7406 SP for the euro), which is close to the trading price .

In solidarity with the people of #Turkey and #Syria who were impacted by the devastating earthquake, #WesternUnion is waiving transfer fees for certain money transfers through 8 March 2023.
However, Syria wasn't mentioned in the North America and Latin America waiving-fees lists.

While Turkish rescue teams were saving people, they were surprised by a person who was not speaking or crying out for help.
They asked him: Why didn't you speak?
He answered: I do not speak Turkish, and I was afraid to ask for help in Arabic, so you would know that I am Syrian and leave me.
The Turkish man who tweeted this, added:
"God will not forgive those who gave this man this feeling, this fear."
