Born and raised in Shashemene, Ethiopia, Mihret discovered her passion for crochet at the age of fourteen, inspired by one of her teachers. Her first creation—a simple bag—marked the beginning of a creative journey that would later shape her career and artistic expression.

During her university years, Mihret began transforming her hobby into a source of income, selling her handmade pieces and gaining growing recognition for her craftsmanship. After graduation, she fully dedicated herself to developing her crochet work into a sustainable business, now taking online orders through her TikTok platform, “Mihret’s Crochet.”
