Hamas is building a military force in Lebanon
The violent explosion, about a week ago, in a weapons and ammunition depot in the basement of a mosque in the Burj a-Shamali refugee camp in the Tyre area of Lebanon, reminded us again of what was known: Hamas is taking advantage of the collapsing government and setting up military infrastructure in Lebanon.

A few days ago my father passed away.
As the only believer in Yeshua as Lord and Savior in my family, I found myself this week sitting on a mattress on the floor of my brother’s living room for a few days - a known Jewish mourning ritual. I also found myself paying respect to the orthodox household in which I was present by reading from the Jewish prayer book written by rabbis many centuries ago. I found myself reciting the “Kaddish” prayer of an orphan over my deceased father, which is also a an important tradition. However, the Jewish religion, like other religions out there, offers another opportunity which is not only unbiblical, but in my mind very dangerous. It offers a way for the living to help elevate the soul of the dead higher and higher. By lighting a candle and chanting prayers and rabbinical sages they believe the soul of the dead can reach heaven. Can we the living affect the destiny of the dead ones? Can we do anything to change their location?
If there is one story (a true one, by the way: NOT a parable) that Yeshua told his disciples which can give clarity on this matter, it’s the one we can find in Luke 16:19-31.
When the rich man realized that his reckless and godless life led him after his death to a place of torment and he saw father Abraham beyond the chasm with poor Lazarus in his bosom, the Bible says:
24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ ”
May we all live for Him today. Once we die it’s too late.

Two rockets were fired early in the morning at the US embassy in the green area of Baghdad. It is estimated that they were shot from "Palestine" Street in the Iraqi capital.
The American C-Ram system has been activated (as can be seen in the attached video). According to Iraqi sources, one rocket was intercepted and its remains landed outside the embassy (damage was reported and a person was injured) and the other rocket landed inside the embassy compound.

Israeli prime minister Bennet just announced that the fifth wave of Covid mass infections in Israel has officially begun. The government is aware of the fact that the Omicron is less dangerous yet is much more contagious, thus the fear is that it can overpack the Israeli hospitals. The government is meeting right now to add most of the countries of the world (including the USA) to the red list thus Israelis won’t be allowed to fly to those destinations in the coming weeks.

My 7 days of mourning over my father’s passing are coming to an end this morning as we go back to the cemetery to pay respects and pray the “Kaddish”.
My heart is heavy. The small dose of exposure to the orthodox Jewish rituals, beliefs, and traditions I had this week was enough for me to see that Isaiah the prophet was so right when he wrote these words of God to Israel: Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men” (Isaiah 29:13). No wonder why Yeshua Himself quoted that verse in Matthew 15:8.
Over the past few days I have seen in my brother’s and sister’s homes dozens of prayer books and many books of rabbinical commentaries, yet not even one Bible was to be found. I heard tons of “Torah” preached, yet not even one teaching was biblical.
I have one request from you all as you enter into these next few festive days remembering the earthly birth of our king and savior Yeshua: Please remember to lift up my blind nation in prayer!
Remember- Messiah was born to put an end to man’s attempt to reach God by man’s own self-righteousness. In a way, the birth of messiah was to cancel religion and begin a relationship!
The apostle Paul, a former Orthodox Jew himself, said these words in the center of Athens: “Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:29-30).

Bushhar's deputy political and security governor reports: In order to prepare for increasing the defense capability of the armed forces, an exercise was held early Monday morning over the Bushhar nuclear power plant.
In an interview with IRNA, Muhammad Tagi added an Iranian: "This exercise was conducted at 5 a.m. with the required preparation and full coordination of the armed forces."
The exercise was carried out in the southern province of Bushehr and in the Persian Gulf.

That’s it. The “Shiv’a” (seven days of mourning) over my deceased earthly father is officially over with the washing of the hands once we were about to leave the cemetery. Its interesting as today is my father’s 81st birthday. It’s hard for me to say that I am an orphan when my heavenly father has been my real and only father my entire life! He will never die!
My heart goes out to the Filipino people who lives in the typhoon afflicted regions and to the hundreds of families who lost their lives.
