IDF: In parallel to IDF activity as part of Operation ‘Roaring Lion’, IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon and are positioned at several points near the border area as part of an enhanced forward defense posture.
The IDF is working to create an additional layer of security for residents of northern Israel. The IDF is conducting targeted strikes against Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in order to remove threats and prevent infiltration attempts into Israeli territory.
The Hezbollah terrorist organization chose to attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian regime, and it will bear the consequences of its actions. The IDF will not allow harm to Israeli civilians, and will continue to act to defend the State of Israel and its citizens.

Limited ground maneuver in Lebanon
Defense Minister Israel Katz:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have approved the IDF to advance and hold additional controlling areas in Lebanon to prevent fire on Israeli border communities.
The IDF continues to operate forcefully against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. The terrorist organization is paying and will pay a heavy price for firing towards Israel.
To prevent the possibility of direct fire on Israeli communities, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have approved the IDF to advance and hold additional controlling areas in Lebanon and protect the border communities from there.
We promised security to the communities of the Galilee and that is what we will do.

IDF: The IDF eliminated the Head of Hezbollah's Weapons Buildup Operations on behalf of the ‘Quds Force’
Yesterday (Monday), the Israeli Navy conducted an intelligence-based strike in the area of Beirut and eliminated Reza Khuza'i , the head of Hezbollah's weapons build-up and the Chief of Staff of the Lebanon Corps in the Iranian Quds Force.
Khuza'i served as the right-hand man of the Lebanon Corps Commander and was considered a key actor in the buildup of Hezbollah's capabilities. He was responsible for the communication between the Hezbollah terrorist organization and the Iranian regime, in particular, ensuring that Iranian supplies met the needs of Hezbollah.
As part of his role, he led extensive efforts in the Lebanon corps of the Hezbollah terror organization, including building up the military capability and equipment of Hezbollah and the implementation of the capacity building plans and rehabilitation of the terrorist organization after Operation Northern Arrow.
Khuza'I also played a key role in the smuggling of weapons from Iran into Lebanon and oversaw Hezbollah weapons manufacturing programs on Lebanese soil.
The IDF is operating with determination against Hezbollah following its decision to deliberately attack Israel under the direction of the Iranian terrorist regime.
