URGENT RISK NOTIFICATION: UNAGREED METER INSTALLATION AND SUPPLIER REFUSAL TO PROVIDE SAFETY CREDENTIALS

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to you as my home buildings and contents insurer to formally put your company on notice regarding an acute, unmitigated material risk currently impacting the insured property. 

My gas and electricity supplier has recently fitted their own asset smart metering equipment at my address without my explicit contractual consent. This physical layout change was executed by their third-party subcontracting firm, HASTE Limited. 

1. Illicit Asset Integration and Refusal of Credentials
Because this high-voltage and gas-routing hardware was integrated into my home without a transparent declaration or express boundary consensus, I immediately contacted the supplier to verify the technical competence of the engineers who executed the work. I formally requested the individual engineers' Gas Safe Registration Certificates and NICEIC / electrical competence credentials. 
The supplier has flatly refused to provide the names or copies of their engineers' statutory safety certificates. 

2. Acute Concern Regarding "Faulty Workmanship" Exclusions
Given public reports of severe house fires originating from faulty, high-load smart meter installations, I cannot verify if this unagreed work was carried out by legally qualified professionals. 

My primary concern is that if HASTE Limited has installed this commercial infrastructure incorrectly, resulting in a future fire or gas leak, your underwriting department may invoke the standard "Faulty Workmanship" or "Third-Party Negligence" exclusions to void my policy or reject a property damage claim. I cannot allow a utility monopoly's unvouched, forced deployment to leave my household in an insurance vacuum. 

3. Formal Request for Your Urgent Assistance
Because the supplier refuses to cooperate with a basic health and safety audit of the assets now active on my property, I request that your company immediately contacts the utility provider to: 

1. Demand immediate validation of the deploying agents' Gas Safe and electrical competence registrations for the specific assets now attached to my home infrastructure. 
2. Obtain their commercial insurance details to ensure their public liability and efficacy coverage handles 100% of the financial burden for any structural failure or installation defect. 
While you are addressing this breach with the supplier, please provide explicit written confirmation within 7 working days that my personal domestic cover will not be prejudiced or restricted due to the supplier's ongoing refusal to provide these statutory safety vouchers.
