📖 Meet WordBucket — a reading companion built to help you grow your vocabulary without interrupting your reading.
One thing that always frustrated me (to ungodly levels of tweakery) was having to leave a book, article or document every time I came across an unfamiliar word. I'd search for the definition, lose my place, and by the time I got back, I'd often forget the word anyway.
So I built WordBucket.
With WordBucket, you can highlight a word and Bucketify it to instantly view its definition and save it for later. If an app doesn't support custom text actions, simply copy the word, pull down Quick Settings and tap Bucketify.
✨ What you can do:
• Save definitions, pronunciations and examples from you favorite reader (or anywhere random)
• Review words with active recall and spaced reviews
• Track your progress with learning and retention statistics
• See your strongest and weakest vocabulary
• Enjoy eight paper-inspired themes with light and dark mode
• Keep everything stored locally—no account required
