If you inherit a little construction firm in Georgia, doing about $600 k per year, how do you suddenly start getting expedited special approvals from HUD in 2011/12 and do a string of 25 LIHTC public low income housing projects... spiking your construction revenue up to $45 Mil/yr at the peak?

A HUD process run by Obama staff and permanent career civil servants (SES) at that time?

Shaun Donovan - Obama appointed HUD secretary (unanimously approved by Senate).

Reporting to Shaun:
-Carol Galante - Senior Executive Service (SES) - Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing Programs, ~2009–early 2012
-Janet M. Golrick - SES - Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing Programs in 2011.

These SES officials operated in the Assistant Secretary for Housing / FHA structure, with Multifamily Housing Programs as a core office. Field-level implementation (e.g., Greensboro/Atlanta offices for North Carolina projects like Raleigh Gardens LLC) involved Hub Directors, Program Center Directors, and career staff—often SES —handling reviews, exceptions (like early starts), and coordination with state agencies.

One of these SES officials was directly responsible for:
1) awarding Raleigh Gardens deal to MTG & husband.
2) cutting the usual 4-7 year timeline down to a 6-month expedited approval, and
3) letting them start construction even before approval was granted.

In July 2011 when MTG's husband created Raleigh Gardens LLC for this deal, somebody behind the scenes had already chosen them and told them the deal was theirs even before any paperwork had happened.

Then one sweet Georgia deal after another (and soon other states) flowed their way.

Then she ran for Congress and the Georgia machine got behind her. Then she flipped.

As I said at my State of the Union Address on February 25th, the American Dream of Homeownership is under attack.

For example, Rachel Wiggins, a mom of two, from Houston, placed bids on 20 homes, and lost all of those bids to gigantic Investment Firms that bypassed inspection, paid all cash, and turned those houses into rentals, stealing away her American Dream — She was devastated!

Stories like this are why I signed an Executive Order to ban large Wall Street Investment Firms from buying up single-family homes.

Also, in my speech, I called for Congress to save the American Dream of Homeownership, and ban these purchases, PERMANENTLY! Senators Bernie Moreno and Tim Scott have worked to ensure my call becomes a reality, and have a Bill which has passed the Senate with nearly 90 votes.

I am asking Congress to pass that Bill, the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which would ensure that homes are for people, not Corporations.

Phone Call Used To Impeach Trump Over GA Election Was Illegally Recorded, Testimony Confirms

ewly released depositions in Georgia confirm Federalist reporting that Democrats’ attempt to imprison President Donald Trump for his 2020 election challenge in the state was based on a misinterpreted and illegally recorded phone call.

For years, Democrats and the propaganda press claimed President Donald Trump had asked Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to steal the election, and further claimed their allegations were supported by a Jan. 2, 2021, phone call between the two men. In fact, Trump asked Raffensperger to take seriously the legal challenge that his campaign had made, which cited numerous areas where votes were in question.

The call became the foundation for an impeachment effort and for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ since-discredited and dismissed racketeering case against Trump and his allies.

The newly released testimony transcript confirms what The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway reported in 2024: The call wasn’t just misconstrued, it was illegally recorded by Raffensperger’s “second in command.”

Jordan Fuchs — Raffensperger’s deputy chief of staff — admitted under oath that she recorded the call while she was in Florida, a two-party consent state that requires all parties on a call to consent to a recording.

During the deposition, special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who was also Fani Willis’ lover, noted that Fuchs received “use immunity” to testify before the grand jury, meaning she could admit what she had done without being prosecuted for any crime.

“I recorded the phone call,” Fuchs admitted to the grand jury, shortly before admitting she immediately leaked it to The Washington Post, which had won a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for its role in perpetuating the lie that Trump stole the 2016 election by colluding with Russia.
