BDU Welcomes More Than 5,300 Newly Admitted Students for the 2026/27 Academic Year

Bahir Dar University is welcoming more than 5,300 newly admitted students for the 2026/27 academic year at its Selam and Gish Abay campuses. Through coordinated reception and student support services, the University is working to ensure that new students begin their academic journey in a safe, welcoming, and supportive campus environment.

Of the total incoming students, 4,848 were assigned to the University by the Ministry of Education, while 452 students transitioned from the remedial programme to regular undergraduate studies. Of the 5,300 students, 3,249 are male and 2,051 are female.
To facilitate a smooth arrival and campus transition, the University has organized transportation and reception services for students arriving in Bahir Dar. Support is being provided from the city's two bus stations and Dejazmach Belay Zeleke International Airport to help students reach their respective campuses safely and conveniently.
The reception process involves coordinated efforts among several University units, including the Transport Unit, Students' Union, Office of the Dean of Students, Security and Safety Unit, Communication staff, and student volunteers. These teams are working together to provide transportation, guide students to their assigned campuses, blocks, and dormitories, and ensure that they receive the information and assistance needed to settle into campus life.
The Students' Union and University staff are also actively supporting the integration of new students into the University community. In addition, introductory brochures prepared by the University's Internal Relations and Communication are being distributed to familiarize students with the University's vision, mission, values, and institutional profile.

Through these coordinated efforts, Bahir Dar University reaffirms its commitment to student welfare, effective service delivery, and the provision of a conducive learning environment. The University recognizes that a successful transition into higher education is an important foundation for academic achievement, personal development, and responsible citizenship.

As the students embark on this new chapter, the University remains committed to supporting their academic and personal growth, enabling them to develop the knowledge, skills, creativity, and sense of social responsibility needed to contribute meaningfully to society.

የባህር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የተማሪዎች ህብረት ከሚመለከታቸው አካላት ጋር በመቀናጀት ለ2019 ዓ.ም/2026 እ.ኤ.አ ትምህርት ዘመን ወደ ግቢው ለሚቀላቀሉ አዲስ ፍሬሽ ማን (ጀማሪ መርሀ ግብር ) ተማሪዎች ያዘጋጀውን አቀባበል በዛሬው ዕለት በታላቅ ድምቀት አካሂዷል።

ዪኒቨርሲቲው የተማሪዎችን መግቢያ ቦታዎች መሰረት በማድረግ በባህር ዳር አሮጌ መነሃሪያ፣ በአዲሱ መነሃሪያ እንዲሁም በደጃች በላይ ዘለቀ ባህር ዳር ኤርፖርት አካባቢ የተመደቡ አስተባባሪዎችን በማሰማራት አዳዲስ ተማሪዎችን ከተለያዩ የመግቢያ በሮች በመቀበል ወደየካምፓሶቻቸው በሰላም እንዲደርሱ አድርጓል።

በአቀባበል ስነ-ስርዓቱ ላይ የባህር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የተማሪዎች ህብረት ስራ አስፈጻሚ አባላት፣የ ዩንቨርስቲው መኪና ስምሪት ፣ የ ፀጥታ አካላት እና የከተማ በጎ ፍቃደኞች እንዲሁም ሌሎች ተማሪዎችን በማስተባበር ንቁ ተሳትፎ አድርገዋል።

የህብረቱ ዋና ፀሐፊ መልዕክት
በዚህ አቀባበል መርሃ-ግብር ማጠናቀቂያ ላይ የባህር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የተማሪዎች ህብረት ዋና ፀሐፊ ህብረ ህብስት አዲስ ለዝግጅቱ መሳካት አስተዋፅኦ ላደረጉ አካላት ምስጋና እና ለ አዲስ ገቢ ተማሪዎች የሚከተለውን መልዕክት አስተላልፋለች።

አቀባበሉ ስኬታማ እንዲሆን ሌሊትና ቀን ሳይሉ ድጋፍ ላደረጉ፡

በባህርዳር ዩንቨርሲቲ ተማሪ ህብረት ስር ለሚገኙ ሰባቱም ግቢ ተማሪዎች ህብረት ስራ አስፈጻሚ አባላት፣ኮሚቴዎች ፣በቅበላው ላይ ለተሳተፉ እና ከህብረቱ ጎን ለቆሙ አካላት ሁሉ የተማሪዎች ህብረትን ስም ወክላ የላቀ ምስጋና አክብሮትን አቅርባለች።


የተማሪዎች ህብረት አሁንም ወደ ባህር ዳር ከተማ በመግባት ላይ ያሉ አዲስ ተማሪዎችን ለመቀበል ዝግጁ መሆኑን የገለጸ ሲሆን፣ የዛሬው አቀባበል በስኬት መጠናቀቁንና ይህ አቀባበል በነገው ዕለትም በተመሳሳይ መልኩ በመነሃሪያዎችና በኤርፖርት አካባቢ ተጠናክሮ እንደሚቀጥል አረጋግጧል።
