Colorado Governor - Jared Polis announced that the state will begin accepting cryptocurrency payments for taxes and other state-related transactions by the end of summer.

Polis stated in an interview with CoinDesk that Colorado will collaborate with cryptocurrency companies to efficiently accept and convert Bitcoin into US dollars. “We don’t want to take speculative risks by holding cryptocurrency, so we will have a layer of transactions there and it will be entered into our system as dollars,” he said. “For consumer convenience, we want to accept payments in various cryptocurrencies, just like we do with credit cards.”
