Anyways.. UEL, despite not being a terrific place for me to go for my PhD interests in Computer Science or Software Engineering (because they are generally heavily into [Creative] Arts, Architecture & Psychology programmes from what I've gleaned thus far), it's still one of interesting schools in London or rather the UK that's of note to me, and which has caught my interests in the past!
If anyone from UEL is passing by, or visiting us here on Blackboard Adventures, we definitely love you
ππ And think we'll possibly bump into each other in the future if all goes well π€

Messing about in my little private library, came across this interesting little book by a UGANDAN teacher of Science (P.4-P.7) & Biology (S.1-S.4); a one Yuga Fred. In case anyone is interested, get in touch. Could help you obtain a copy. Good volume for labelled scientific illustrations for students & our kids in school ββ

## Quick JWL Mini-Lecture: About The Eye as its Own Mini-Computer!
It hits me as rather not just miraculous, but very breathtaking, that the eye itself does some actual computations independently of the brain!
Like, when light arrives in the eye (as photons), it doesn't go as photons to the visual cortex (in the brain) for our brains to detect or process images we've seen via the eye!
The eye itself does some preprocessing[1] of light information about what is seen, and then only sends the processed information (as chemically encoded electrical signals[2]) to the brain; somehow, meaning the eye has a little brain/processor of itself!
The πποΈ Eye computes;
β Edge & Contrast Detection [3]
β Color Processing [2]
β Motion Detection [4]
β Data Compression [3]
I mean.. OMG!
Just an Eye!! π
Before the π§ Brian ever gets involved!! Isn't this such a fun fact?
Once the signals reach the visual cortex in the brain, that's when they undergo higher-level processing, including object recognition, depth perception, and spatial awareness[5].
Your Exercise: How many such mini-computers does the (human) body have in it independent of the main, central Main Computer (aka. Brain)?

Meanwhile, I'm glad I'm not the only mathematician or scientist that enjoys taking walks... (Instead of driving... And lately, even cycling)
Here's one of my role models, a 2020 Physics Nobel Prize Laureate, Prof. Roger Penrose, Oxford University, talking about his obsession with taking distinct random walks... πΆββοΈπΆπ£
ππ»π Little bits of useful craziness perhaps ππΌπ But, those queer behaviours do bear some good results actually... But also, sometimes he's mad I trust.. reminds me of the legendary Game Theorist, Prof. John Nash (of *Beautiful Mind* in case you watched that movie).
So, people, netizens... Don't be afraid to continue walking. Tis such a very productive habit. Leaders though, doesn't mean you shouldn't work on better roads or improve public transport just because a few of us prefer walking!

PAPER TITLE: Concerning A Special Summation That Preserves The Base-10 Orthogonal Symbol Set Identity In Both Addends And The Sum
ABSTRACT:
While working on another paper (yet to be published) on the matter of random number generators and some number theoretic ideas, the author has identified a very queer, but interesting summation operation involving two special pure numbers that produce another interesting pure number, with the three numbers having the special property that they all preserve the orthogonal symbol set identity of base-10 and $\psi_{10}$. This paper formally presents this interesting observation and the accompanying results for the first time, and explains how it was arrived at --- how it can be reproduced, as well as why it might be important and especially unique and worthy or further exploration.
KEYWORDS: Number Theory, Symbol Sets, Arithmetic, Identities, Permutations, Magic Numbers, Cryptography
DOI: 10.6084/m9.figshare.28869755

ABOUT PAPER: Apart from furthering (with 4 new theorems and 9 new definitions) the mathematical ideas concerning symbol sets for numbers in any base that were first put forward in the author's GTNC paper from 2020, this paper presents some new practical methods of generating special random numbers with the property that they preserve the base-10 o-SSI.

Meanwhile, despite being an early, still unverified observation, seems like the exciting, output base-10 o-SSI number might actually hint at some seemingly queer, but explainable pattern given the somewhat intriguing sequence of digits in the number when looking at that number generation/permutation image:
[8 > 6 > 4] > [9 > 1 > 3 > 7 > 5] > 2
I'll get to look deeper into this in times to come..

## WHY U Should Read JWL's SSI Paper:
https://bit.ly/ossipaper
Among Important Take-aways after reading that paper:
β Binary numbers are decimal too (Theorem 2)
β The basify (b:) & uniqueify(u:) TEA language commands have real mathematical relevance (Section 4) (REF[5]: https://bit.ly/tazfile)
β Among unusual bases (like base-0 & base-1), there's a genuine purpose for base-β (Theorem 1)
β The calculator keypad is indeed a terrific place for discovering interesting hidden mathematical truths! (Section 5.1)
β You definitely want to read a mathematician's novel too!
