Before we proceed, please take a moment to appreciate that though many modern schools want to replace chalkboards with so-called "smart boards" such as white boards (using markers) or smart boards (using electronic styluses or touch screens), some wiser schools, such as the Faculty of Science at Makerere University (shown in the photos here), still keep and cherish traditional blackboards π€
In these photos, we see JWL himself faking a lecture to an almost empty classroom at the faculty. Hahaha yes, to keep the community interested in teaching with chalk as a very powerful method that rarely goes wrong.

Cryptic Hand? Maths or Weird Hieroglyphics?
This is somewhat both Esoteric and Advanced
JWL calls this The Crypt of Medina (CoM). Not sure why. But, it is a key, first of all, to read and write in the somewhat strange, but useful _language between the lines_; essentially, any message can be rewritten using this language, and it would never make sense to anyone that doesn't understand or know about this key. Also, CoM could be used to put secrets in the face of the public without giving away the secrets, something known as cryptography in technical circles.
In this key, the first two lines on the left express the alphabet from A to N, while the second column expresses O to Z. This key is incomplete here because it says nothing about the numerals for example. But that's it for now.

So, we recently said something about boards that don't use chalk? Well... Here's a snapshot of JWL'S work on a whiteboard hahaha.. Yes! Year was 2011, and he had just completed his first degree from Makerere. Bachelor of Science (P, M, Cs major). His final project dealt with Crime Analysis, and here we see his work and ideas developing a method for predicting and classifying crimes using maths and some artificial intelligence...

This is an interlude.
Event was the 2011 Global Microsoft Imagine Cup finals held in New York that year. Thinking with blackboards did play a big role in getting Uganda's team, led by JWL, to win East Africa and go to the World Cup! Sharing this here, to encourage others...

Of course, at the World Stage in New York, it wasn't by surprise to find that every team present was given a chance to write & communicate otherwise difficult things... Okay, some just wanted to write memorials or just graffiti art, but all the same, boards played a big role at that event as you can see in the pics.
