IN-BRIEF:
This paper, based on Chapter 3 in "A: to Z: of ACM SLE Since 2008 - towards discovery of a modern programming language" also by the author, presents a critical review of "Featherweight TeX and Parser Correctness," highlighting its key ideas and drawing parallels with our own Transforming Executable Alphabet (TEA) project. Our analysis reveals insights into evolving software languages to mitigate parsing issues, and we invite you to explore the lessons learned and implications for future research in software language engineering.β

*:{π} TEA v1.5.6 has shipped! This is the first major release since May 2026.. and the updates, most of them only of concern to POWER USERS have come as a result of ongoing research stress-testing TEA against languages such as FTEX (Germany Prof. Erdweg &β¦
Closely Related, a member on I*Network recently offered useful feedback, to which the following formal response might likewise help others:
#correpondences #communityoutreach #tealanguage #thefuture
Dear Andrew,
This is well received. Thanks.
Please, let me likewise quickly share some pointers as to what might address some issues you raised on behalf of the community:
-> Concerning the TEA home page (tea.nuchwezi.com), note that the web app (an Integrated Development Environment) is kept minimal and almost devoid of any glitz to help the regular (almost daily) users focus on the core tasks it is meant to help resolve: losslessly writing or reading TEA source code, editing or sharing data and programs, as well as running or debugging TEA code.
If you or anyone identifies a bug in this functionality, or can propose specific ways to enhance the TEA IDE as a software development environment, please do not hesitate to bring these hints to our attention.
-> Regarding TEA documentation, please note that the IDE (link shared above) already offers built-in pointers to a vast array of formal and [sometimes] informal documentation on TEA, the language support tools, and info on history, community, and applications.
Let me quickly likewise re-share the following links in hopes that it helps others quickly access relevant information:
TEA TAZ (official manual, language design and applications guide. It is an entire book: 26+ chapters): http://bit.ly/tazfile OR https://www.academia.edu/122871672
TEA README + code/docs repository: https://github.com/mcnemesis/cli_tttt
TEA Introductory Paper (Engineering Archive): https://doi.org/10.31224/7185.
That said, and in case anyone wishes to keep their hands on the latest formal research as well as publications relating to this language, please subscribe to/regularly check: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=%22transforming+executable+alphabet%22&btnG=
That should definitely be [more than enough?] sufficient documentation for even the most hypercritical of professors with their eye on the TEA language or its ecosystem right now.
-> Concerning taking this [currently independent] project to places [especially beyond Uganda]: thanks for the pointers to various Ivy League locations in the US where there might be rapport. Please note that I have already informed key local and international institutions, as well as respected peers, regarding our progress with TEA. We have shared publications, but also expressions of interest [towards collaboration and institutional support] with teams in Switzerland, UK, US (yes, esp. Harvard), as well as China (Peking University).
In fact, the publications accessible through the provided Google Scholar link demonstrate prior efforts to integrate this language into doctoral-level research. There's an SOP and several research proposals likewise listed on my Academia Profile: https://mak.academia.edu/JosephWillrichLutalo
So far, no university faculty has formally adopted TEA beyond Nuchwezi Research. Hopefully, and with increasing research dissemination about the language reaching more people out there, someone shall respond positively or perhaps give us a call.
-> For a most recent TECHNICAL paper related to TEA and the advances/contributions/significance it has, also check out this recent preprint relating TEA to TEX, LATEX and FTEX: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23102196
I once again thank you for taking the time to look into TEA and for sharing such wonderful feedback that will definitely help us do better.
Cheers!
J'Willrich Lutalo

Two philosophers, one question: where does the real actually live β beyond this world, or inside it?
Plato said beyond. The chairs, horses and triangles we see are imperfect copies of eternal Forms β the perfect Chair, the perfect Horse, the perfect Triangle β that exist outside space and time. Our senses show us shadows; only reason can climb out of the cave and glimpse the originals. What is most real is precisely what you cannot touch.
Aristotle, his own student, turned that upside down. There is no separate Horse floating somewhere; "horseness" exists only in actual horses. The form is the shape the matter takes, not a resident of another realm. If you want to understand what a thing is, don't look away from it β look at it more carefully. Reality is here, in the particular, waiting to be studied.
The disagreement never really ended. Every time a mathematician insists that numbers would exist even if nothing else did, Plato is speaking. Every time a scientist says a theory means nothing until it's tested against the world, Aristotle is.
So which instinct is yours? When you think of justice, or beauty, or a perfect circle β is there something real you're reaching toward, or only a useful pattern you've abstracted from imperfect examples?

Here's some very wonderful INTERNET innovation I stumbled upon, that presents a great utility leveraging a pure URL interface somewhat reminiscent of the TEA programming language WEB IDE URL programming interface!
