NOTD:
Quickly, let's analyze today's number of the day!
-----| QUICK ANALYSIS |-----
- β΅ ANALYSIS 1: Like all NOTDs, it is a random number. Proof: it is provably statistically independent of all earlier NOTDs we have analyzed. (The student can check and confirm this.)
- β΅ ANALYSIS 2: Starts out as a progression of halving the initial digit, but instead of ending after 2 with 1, breaks that pattern at 6.
- β΅ ANALYSIS 3: The 8-digit number basically samples all significant even numbers with the only odd digits being 1 and 9.
- β΅ ANALYSIS 4: Reducing to the mnemonic HDZRIB, this number somewhat speaks of brainy lovers or perhaps people that love brains. Another possible analysis of the mnemonic might be fact that folks enjoy eating both pork ribs and head, or that experiencing life in high resolution is more preferable than not (Proof: don't you want a clear crisp eyesight?)
- β΅ ANALYSIS 5: Partial summing of the digits reveals that the first 4 digits reduce to 20, but so do the last four digits! And with that analysis, combined with mnemonics, the number seems to code the massage TT, which perhaps has nothing to do with breasts or erect nipples!
- β΅ ANALYSIS 6: Finally, a hermetic reduction of the number maps it to the single even digit 4 (Ref; Analysis 5), sometimes associated with concepts like shelter, vessels, an army, pregnancy and perfection! (Ref: Numerology)
BONUS Analysis: Noticed how 4 is D and we sometimes need to note such quirky little things in life? (Ref: Analysis 6, NOTD)
---------------------------------( end analysis )
And with that [creative] analysis, we welcome everybody back from Valentine's break! OMG. Hope u people did all your maths well, and that we'll stay together till next year's!

TITLE: Applying TRANSFORMATICS in GENETICS: The Mathematics of Genome Sequencing

ABSTRACT:
This work is part of an upcoming book(via Taylor and Francis), "Applying TRANSFORMATICS in GENETICS" by the author. Sequencing is such a central concept in genetics that it surely warrants its own chapter in a book on any modern mathematics of genetics such as is being developed and being formalized in this book. Moreover, it is not just in genetics that the idea of sequencing finds immediate relevance, just as with many of the other concepts being treated of in this book, much of what mechanics and theory is being developed about sequence processing, analysis and in general, the algebra of sequences, shall find many useful and sometimes fundamental applications in domains such as computer science, physics, pure and applied mathematics, medicine, economics, etc. In this chapter though, focus is on the problem of genome sequencing, with special attention being given to identifying the core problems underlying such sequencing as it is encountered in contemporary genetics literature and practice, and then, leveraging the new mathematics of transformatics, to develop entirely new formalisms and theory concerning how such sequencing might be accomplished, but also how it might be applied. We cover the matter of sequence alignment, with special, deep treatment of the issue of computing the maximum common subsequence from any collection of disparate sequences. We then handle the issue of computing a consensus sequence given any two sequences well aligned and with potential disparities in the overlapping sections (specifically for genetic sequences here), then finally apply these two solutions to the issue of formally specifying the problem of genome sequencing, to which we provide a solution in form of a special sequence transformer that we call the genome sequencer. Finally, we see how the theory thus developed might be used to implement such critical applications such as DNA or genetic tests, and how these ideas culminate in a law about the unique identity of any entity for which there exists some kind of genome sequence.
