Time for some GAME Programming in TEA!

So, yes.. a plan is underway, to correctly design and implement a battlefield game called BOOBS 'N' TRAPS that is essentially a text-adventure/ascii-art single-player AI-driven game in which the user(player) must correctly move across a battlefield from some random start point till some random end-point/finish-line, without falling into traps. To correctly advance and quickly win, they need to jump over hurdles or lift/move them out of the way when they can't jump over them. They need to pick up rewards so as to gain jumping powers and more points (boosts momentum towards next anchorage point (hurdle, reward or finish-line).


Overall, it is likely to be a very exciting and engaging game. Helping players learn and master planning and strategy, while sharpening their reasoning and quick response skills.

Game is somewhat inspired by classic UNIX/Linux command line text-adventure game "hack". But this one should be able to be played both on WEB & Command-Line.

This is the first draft of the GAME STATE MACHINE for the single-player text-adventure and strategy role playing game (RPG) we are calling BOOBS 'N' TRAPS. It is inspired by the classic text-adventure, dungeons-and-dragons command-line game for LINUX/UNIX that is known as "hack" (later "NetHack") that exhibits turn-based gameplay, procedurally generated dungeons/play-field, permadeath (when you die, game ends/must restart), you encounter things (powers, monsters, obstacles, etc.), you can gain powers, etc.

This game is also partly inspired by and based on the wartime, battle-field with both powers and bobby-traps scenarios depicted in the creative fiction novel, ROCK 'N' DRAW (https://bit.ly/rockndraw) also by the author of this game, and interestingly, the first proof-of-concept of this game is to be implemented for both WEB and command-line using the TEA (Transforming Executable Alphabet) general-purpose computer programming language which also features in that novel!

The game is being developed as part of the TEA programming non-trivial examples collection that are to be part of the final edition of the TEA TAZ programming manual (https://bit.ly/tazfile). And shall also be featured as part of the TEA standard programs on the TEA WEB IDE (https://tea.nuchwezi.com). So, look forward to it!

Sure, some correct remarks regarding implementation of the TEA game #boobsntraps especially for the fact that there's a chicken-egg-problem during this implementation.. the #teataz isn't yet complete and yet it is required to properly code such a complex game logic as depicted in the associated only design document available at the moment.. the BNT state machine. But also, turns out, some features of the language (both on WEB and CLI, hadn't ever been well tested or utilized until this project). Thus, despite progress being made.. but it is such a tough example to correctly bring to life.

Nonetheless, it is helping... And we'll eventually get to a proper implementation of not only the game (engine), but also the language itself as well as the documentation supporting it.

Today, with TEA v.1.1.4 we have introduced the extension to I: Interact command with now the I*:, I*!:, and matching I*: PROMPT and I*!:vPROMPT commands that work well for both WEB and CLI TEA so as to allow a program to always render a GUI interface as shown in the screenshot, and so as to interactively read user's runtime input. So, now we see that the originally WEB-TEA only feature for running a GUI interface is also fully supported for native TEA as shown in the attached screenshot for the updated BOOBS N TRAPS game.

That simple TEA program has a very very powerful application in Occult Science and Esotericism.

Take for example, a basic phrase such as

Hello World

It can transform it into the occult conjuration...

Fit for immediate use as part of a magical incantation in say a ritual, as part of occult mantras or spell casting.

Students and practitioners of magick and occult philosophy shall truly come to love such nifty, sacred transformer programs such as this one. Especially by realizing that.. it is ancient wisdom, that to readily bring about a transformation in real life, often, it starts with bringing about a corresponding transformation in the mind... (particularly, via proper manipulation of the subconscious mind) and the careful use of language (especially via magical transformations or projections of will.. such as this TEA program can make possible) underlie many such fundamental practices in (especially western) magick;

One no longer needs to cram or memorize arcane spells or mysterious incantations from ancient or closely guarded grimoires (Ars Goetia, Emerald Tablets of Thoth, Bhagavad Gita,...etc), and neither might they need to learn "magical phrases or words of power" from some occult language (such as when a Roman Catholic resorts to use of Latin, Aramaic or Hebrew for the very occult parts of their [mass] rituals.. or when modern Occultists resort to incantations in supposedly ancient "magical languages" such as Egyptian, Sumerian, Aztec, Yiddish, Hindu, Arabic,... etc for their more arcane/exacting rituals).

Instead, one merely needs have a robust and reliable [text-processing] programming utility such as TEA, and access to a specially crafted phrase transformer program such as we see in the above example, and then, voila! They can take any desire, prayer or spell in ordinary natural language (doesn't have to be English), and the transformer program shall automatically generate for them a corresponding, magically (and psychologically portent) version ready to adapt or apply as is.

The serious student, but also experienced adept of the esoteric [sciences and arts] shall immediately see the relevance and power of such TEA programs.. but also the ancient wisdom and powerful methods underlying this special use case πŸ”±.
