The call for applications for NEUROTECH CUP 2021, an international competition for projects of young researchers and engineers in the field of neurotechnology and artificial intelligence, is now open.
The competition is organized by BiTronics Lab, Samara Neuroweek 2021, MIPT Open Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence, Neuronet Industry Union.
Neurotechnology and artificial intelligence engineering and research projects teams can apply for participation in the following disciplines:
:brain: Intelligent robotic systems, crewless aerial vehicles
:brain: Human-machine interfaces
:brain: Medical and rehabilitation equipment
:brain: Education
:brain: VR / AR technologies in medicine
:brain: Cognitive technologies
NEUROTECH CUP 2021 is organized in two streams: 18-30 years old (Youth Stream) and 14 -18 years old (School stream).
In the School Stream, participants can present solutions to the cases proposed by organizers or apply with their own research or engineering project.
In the Youth Stream, participants must present the results of their own scientific research or engineering project.

g.tec medical engineering just released their new open-source Unicorn Naked BCI :100: :raised_hands: It comes without a cover to have full access to the circuit board and such. There are many open source modules too such as Python, C, .NET, LSL, UDP, Bluetooth and a GitHub repository full of other extensions. Same high-quality as the 8-channel Unicorn Hybrid Black. two BR41N.IO Hackathons are coming up (1) at IEEE SMC Conference and (2) at BCI Samara. There are programming projects (which require a BCI device) and analysis projects (no hardware included). EEG data sets are provided e.g. :mega:from ECoG recordings or :dart: EEG recordings from patients whith disorders of consciousness.
