As part of efforts to step up the pace to green 80% of our buildings by 2030, the BCA Green Mark 2021 (GM: 2021) has been updated to raise energy efficiency to support the national target of net zero emissions.

The internationally-recognised scheme awards badges to recognise exceptional performance in five different aspects of sustainability such as designing for maintainability, reducing embodied carbon across a building’s life cycle, and creating healthier environments for building users.

Stay tuned as we unpack the badges and show how they contribute to our sustainability efforts in the BE sector!

🔗 Building owners can also visit https://go.gov.sg/gm2021 to find out how to get your building Green Mark certified.
We want a built environment that is sustainable, with efficient building management enabled by smart solutions, as well as integrated and aggregated facilities management (FM) services.

To achieve our goals, BCA will continue to ramp up efforts to meet our “80-80-80 in 2030” targets set out in our Singapore Green Building Masterplan. This in turn will contribute to the objectives set out in the Sustainable Urban Systems (SUS) focus area under the Built Environment Industry Transformation Map (BE ITM).

We thank all stakeholders and partners thus far in journeying with us in our ambition to achieve a low-carbon built environment. Swipe to find out how we will work towards achieving the targets.
