we broke up, but it didn’t feel like a clean ending—more like everything just stayed, stuck in small details i can’t seem to let go of. i still remember the way it all started, how something so simple felt like home without even trying. we had those moments that felt perfect in a quiet way, singing in the car, getting lost, laughing over nothing, like time didn’t matter back then. you let me into your world so easily, told me things about your past like i was meant to be part of your future. and maybe that’s what makes it harder, knowing it all felt real when it was happening. but somewhere along the way, something shifted, and i don’t even know when it started falling apart. maybe we stopped understanding each other, or maybe we just wanted different things and didn’t realize it soon enough. all i know is, what we had is gone now, and there’s nothing i can do to bring it back. still, no matter how much time passes, i can’t forget it—not the good parts, not the way it ended, not any of it.
