On the ground in China | October 12, 2026

What we're hearing: last week a freight forwarding company here came under a group inspection. Parcels routed through it may face significant delays in the coming weeks.
What we're doing: our shipments don't go through that channel and are moving as normal.
If a shipment from China has gone quiet lately, ask your shipper which channel it's on.

This is what we're hearing locally, not an official announcement. We'll update if anything is confirmed.

What we're hearing: a supplier here is reportedly under investigation over counterfeit goods.
Why it matters: it's a reminder to check what you receive. Match the batch number on the box to the report, and ask your supplier for the full report.
Want to verify ours yourself? Send it to any third-party lab you trust. You pay the testing fee up front, and we credit it against your next order, up to US$200 for one product.

China-side update | October 12, 2026

Follow-up on APEC in Shenzhen: Guangzhou's postal regulator now requires every parcel heading from Guangzhou toward Shenzhen to be X-rayed and checked one by one. Shenzhen requires a second security check on incoming parcels, and a third for the core meeting area. No start or end dates have been announced.
What it means for buyers: so far we haven't seen any change on our international shipments. Parcels going to Shenzhen face the extra checks. We'll update if that changes.

China-side supply update | October 12, 2026
Three points professional buyers should keep separate:
1. Logistics: some China routes are facing closer scrutiny. This is not universal. Confirm the actual product, destination and current channel before shipment, and allow additional time.
2. Supplier disputes: allegations are circulating about a larger supplier, including concerns about product authenticity and downstream resale. We have not independently verified these claims and are not naming companies.
3. Accountability: no supply chain is zero-risk. Judge an intermediary by what happens after a problem: open communication, traceable records and an executable replacement, refund or credit path.
Past successful orders do not prove the next batch. Match the batch, preserve the order record and use independent testing where needed.

China-side update: local check on freeze-dried powder and semaglutide in Guangzhou

A notice circulating today in a Guangzhou supplier chat (Renhe Town, Baiyun District) asks local cosmetics and pharma companies to report their R&D, production and raw-material sales of freeze-dried powder and semaglutide-related products by Oct 14. The form link is blurred.

What it may mean for buyers: some Guangzhou suppliers may be slower to quote or ship for a week or two while they file. If you have an open order, ask your supplier for a confirmed ship date in writing.

We'll post here if anything changes on the ground.

Local news, not official.
One passing test doesn't prove every batch

A test report tells you about the sample that went to the lab. It doesn't tell you about the next production run.

Three things worth asking a supplier on repeat orders:
1. Does the batch number on the box match the one on the report? If not, the report is about a different batch.
2. Has anything changed since the last batch, such as raw material, filling, packaging or source? A change is a good reason to test again.
3. Can they show you a report that names the batch you're receiving?

A good track record makes a supplier easier to assess. It doesn't replace checking what's in front of you.

Want to check ours? Send a sample to any third-party lab you trust. You pay the testing fee up front, and we credit it against your next order, up to US$200 for one product. Credit only, no cash refunds.

Packed this week and ready for the courier.

Every box leaves with a label showing the batch number and the manufacture and expiry dates. That's the number to match against any test report you're given. If the batch on the box and the batch on the report don't match, the report is about a different batch.

Want to check for yourself? Send a sample to a third-party lab you trust. We credit the testing fee against your next order, up to US$200 for one product.
