🍃ophthalmic ointment: more stable semisolid applied topically on conjunctiva or margins of eyelids may cause blurred vision or sticking of eyelids

🍃 Ear drops : solution, suspension, emulsion prevent ear infection

🍃 nasel sprays and drops : nasel decongestant

🍃Oral candidas : Suspension. . Topically

🍃 herps labialis ( cream ) Topically

🍃 local anesthesia may be topically as spray or ointment

🍃 Neomycin Not absorbed from GI
So it is considered topical tablet

🍃 administration a drug in rectum
Solid >> suppositories ( evacuation of bowel)

Liqid >> anema ( evacuation of bowel ) or treatment of Ulcerative colitis

🍃 Some anticancer drugs : giving as infusion intr- arterial

🍃 Rheumatoid arthritis: intra articular ( suspension) Triamcinolone
Or indomethacin ( suppostories)

🍃 uncooperative patients , vomiting, unabsorpable drug not giving drug orally


🍃Eplipticus children: giving diazipam as enema

🍃 uncooperative and unconsious patients: parentral route

🍃 General anesthetics .. volatile liquid and gases are either given by inhalation or intravenously

🍃Bleeding Peptic ulcer :
Ranitidine as Bolus I.V ( large dose as a single unit )

🍃Cardiogenic Shock : Dopamine infusion ( IV)

🍃 cerebral oedema: manitol infusion ( I.V)

🍃 Spinal anesthesia: injection into subarachnoid space ( Intrathecal route) or even injection of antibiotics

🍃 Transderma route through patches or ointment dilever drug to circulation
Like scopolamine ( motion sickness)
Or angina patch
Or estrogen patch
