اللهم ءاتنا في الدنيا حسنة

The Messenger of Allah, Sallallaahu ^alayhi wa sallam, said:

‏إنّ الإسلام بدأ غريبًا وسيعودُ غريبًا كما بدأ فطُوبى للغُرباء

This means: “Verily when this Religion started it was strange to the people and it shall return to being strange again as it was when it started. Extremely blessed at that time will be the strangers.”

‎It was asked, “And who are these ‘strangers’ O Messenger of Allah?” He replied:

‎الّذينَ يُصلحونَ ما أفسد النّاس من سُنَّتي بَعدي

‎This means: “Those who correct the discrepancies that people made to my Sunnah after me.”

And the ‘Sunnah’ of the Messenger is his Sharee^ah, which means the ^Aqeedah (creed; belief) and aHkaam (rules).

This is narrated by Al-Bukhaariyy, Muslim, Al-Bayhaqiyy, and others with different terms..”
