The Holy Spirit Rest On Him.
“And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him—The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,The Spirit of counsel and strength,The Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the Lord”.Isaiah 11:2 (AMP)
This is how Jesus lived when He walked among us. The Holy Spirit rested upon Him. Yes, Jesus was filled with the Spirit of God, just as we are (Luke 4:1); but He also lived in a way that the Holy Spirit was able to rest upon Him. There was an outward demonstration of God's Presence on the Person of Jesus. He always welcomed, accommodated and yielded to the Holy Spirit. He deliberately chose to keep His flesh under the control of the Spirit. He didn't allow Himself to react to situations, but always relied on the Spirit of wisdom and understanding to govern Him. Before He spoke or acted, He drew from the council and strength of the Holy Spirit - never relying on His natural senses or knowledge. When Father God spoke, Jesus obeyed; when He perceived that His Father was moving in a certain direction, He followed - always loving and honouring Him. Jesus displayed the very image of God the Father, the Word of God made flesh. Jesus is our wonderful example. Not only did He model how to walk this earth in victory, He gave us the very secret: a life yielded to the Holy Spirit, living in and upon us.

Does God require Sabbath-keeping of Christians?
In Colossians 2:16-17, the apostle Paul declares, “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” Similarly, Romans 14:5 states, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” These Scriptures make it clear that, for the Christian, Sabbath-keeping is a matter of spiritual freedom, not a command from God. Sabbath-keeping is an issue on which God’s Word instructs us not to judge each other. Sabbath-keeping is a matter about which each Christian needs to be fully convinced in his/her own mind.
In the early chapters of the book of Acts, the first Christians were predominantly Jews. When Gentiles began to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, the Jewish Christians had a dilemma. What aspects of the Mosaic Law and Jewish tradition should Gentile Christians be instructed to obey? The apostles met and discussed the issue in the Jerusalem council (Acts 15). The decision was, “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood” (Acts 15:19-20). Sabbath-keeping was not one of the commands the apostles felt was necessary to force on Gentile believers. It is inconceivable that the apostles would neglect to include Sabbath-keeping if it was God’s command for Christians to observe the Sabbath day.
A common error in the Sabbath-keeping debate is the concept that the Sabbath was the day of worship. Groups such as the Seventh Day Adventists hold that God requires the church service to be held on Saturday, the Sabbath day. That is not what the Sabbath command was. The Sabbath command was to do no work on the Sabbath day (Exodus 20:8-11). Yes, Jews in Old Testament, New Testament, and modern times use Saturday as the day of worship, but that is not the essence of the Sabbath command. In the book of Acts, whenever a meeting is said to be on the Sabbath, it is a meeting of Jews and/or Gentile converts to Judaism, not Christians.

Is there anything wrong with worshiping on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath? Absolutely not! We should worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday! Many churches today have both Saturday and Sunday services. There is freedom in Christ (Romans 8:21; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:1). Should a Christian practice Sabbath-keeping, that is, not working on Saturdays? If a Christian feels led to do so, absolutely, yes (Romans 14:5). However, those who choose to practice Sabbath-keeping should not judge those who do not keep the Sabbath (Colossians 2:16). Further, those who do not keep the Sabbath should avoid being a stumbling block (1 Corinthians 8:9) to those who do keep the Sabbath. Galatians 5:13-15 sums up the whole issue: “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.”

Hold Fast
"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope."Psalm 130:5 (NKJV)
Waiting on the Lord isn't a passive stance. It's having an earnest expectation and joyful confidence that He is all His Word says He is, and that He will do all it says He will do. So the posture of a person who is waiting on the Lord is expectant and overwhelmingly grateful. According to God's Word, His promises are "yes"! In other words they are signed, sealed, and delivered. In fact Jesus said the moment we pray and believe, is the moment heaven dispatches those promises to us! Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." So you appropriate, you receive, you take as yours what has been delivered to you - even before you see it in the natural. That's faith, and it-s how we are supposed to live as children of God. In fact, this is what pleases God! Without faith it's impossible to please Him. It's time to hold fast to the faithful nature of your God, lock your eyes on Him and your faith will bring every promise in His Word into your reality. That's because faith is the by-product of fixing our eyes on the One Who is faithful!

*Keep Focus!*
“Curses cannot hurt you unless you deserve them. They are like birds that fly by and never settle..” Proverbs 26:2
Abraham, the father of our faith, kept his focus on God's promises and blessing rather than on fear or the threat of curses. Sadly, many Christians spend too much time worrying about curses, obstacles, or spiritual attacks instead of fixing their eyes on the God who has promised freedom and blessing.
The Bible teaches that all who place their faith in Jesus Christ share in the blessing given to Abraham. When King Balak commanded Balaam to curse Israel, God turned the intended curse into a blessing. This reminds us that no one can ultimately curse those whom God has blessed.
More importantly, Jesus Christ has redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us, so that we might receive God's grace and blessing. Galatians 3:13–14
Instead of living in fear, let your heart be filled with gratitude. Thank the Lord that in Christ He has already blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 1:3.

Citrus farmers will confirm that few things compare to the joy of an orchard filled with mature trees heavy laden with ripe and juicy fruit, ready for harvest. This illustration can be compared to the excitement of the Lord when His children are living free from bondage, full of His love and faith, and flowing in the power of His Spirit. In the life of a believer, fruit is evidence of the work we have allowed the Holy Spirit to do in our lives. It shows how we have yielded to His power and embraced His Word to become vessels wholly filled and flooded with Him. God's purpose for us is to see us transformed into the very image of His Son, living in perfect harmony with Him, destroying the work of the enemy, and continuously ministering God's goodness and grace to the lives of people everywhere we go. The more we embrace the Word of God and yield to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives; all limitations are removed and pruned off our lives. A life yielded to the work of the Spirit and Word becomes God's masterpiece, displaying the quality and magnificence of His glory to all men - everywhere!

"He who believes in Me as the Scripture has said, "From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water." But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed in Him were afterward to receive..."John 7:38-39 (AMPC)
The greatest treasure each believer has ever received is the presence of the Holy Spirit. The moment we become born again, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us. Then, the Bible says we can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, where He infuses us with power, like a fountain of life that energises and strengthens us from the inside. God's presence inside us changes everything about us. Like a mighty gushing river, it flows into every part of us - renewing, refreshing and reviving a fresh passion and zeal to know God more intimately and serve Him wholeheartedly. This power gives us a supernatural boldness and irrepressible joy to share the goodness of Jesus with the world around us. When we learn how to tap into the continuous flow of the grace that exists in the manifested presence of God through the Holy Spirit, we become unstoppable for the kingdom of God here on earth. The Apostle Paul urges us to not be ignorant of this extraordinary gift of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 4:10 tells us to be good trustees of God's many-sided grace which has extremely diverse powers and gifts, granted to us by unmerited favour. Don't Just Endure - Enjoy!

There is NO Prosperity Gospel. There is only THE GOSPEL, and the result of it is a prosperous life! When we pursue knowing more of God through His Word and through spending time in His Presence, we begin to prosper in every way! Paul prayed that we would receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know the Person of Jesus Christ more fully. That's because personally knowing Jesus doesn't just fill us with strength to endure this life, it causes us to delight in Him and we end up enjoying the fullness of life we have in Him. Psalm 37:4 says delighting in Him causes us to receive the desires of our hearts! The Bible says our lives become enriched by the Spirit of God when we choose to learn all we can about Him and how He operates in our lives. 1 Corinthians 1:5-6 in The Passion Translation says: "In Him you have been made extravagantly rich in every way. You have been endowed with a wealth of inspired utterance and the riches that come from your intimate knowledge of Him. For the reality of the truth of Christ is seen among you and strengthened through your experience of Him." There is nothing compared to knowing the Person of Jesus. It's a life enriched with His goodness, favour, mercy and love. Joy, joy, joy floods the heart of the person who seeks and finds the Lord as his essential necessity in this life!

Challenged, Not Defeated
“For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]!”. 2 Corinthians 4:17 (AMP)
As a child of God, it's biblical to be challenged, but it's unbiblical to be defeated. According to John 16:33, trials and tough circumstances are to be expected. But Jesus told us exactly how to face and overcome them. He said we are to be joyful because He has already overcome whatever challenge we will ever face in this world! In other words, we must have the attitude of someone who knows victory is our outcome - even before we see it. And according to 1 John 5:4, our victory has everything to do with our faith in God and the promises of His Word! So if you're facing a challenge that's got you feeling anxious, do what Jesus says to do. Start thanking Him for the victory He has already promised you and the wisdom He is about to give you to see it resolved (James 1:5). Then find the promise pertaining to the breakthrough you need and apply your faith to it. As you lay it before the Lord in joyful faith, listen for His instructions and expect His peace. Obey what He lays on your heart to do and rejoice! Shift your focus from the problem to God's faithfulness, and delight yourself in Him as He honours His word and your obedience - changing every challenge into a glorious victory!

Cancelled Accusations
“Having canceled out the [a]certificate of debt consisting of [b]legal demands [which were in force] against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross.”.Colossians 2:14 (AMP)
We partake of communion because it reminds us of what Jesus did on the cross for us and the life we can now live in Him. It points to the intimate relationship we now have access to with the Father. It also keeps us fully aware of the victory we have over sin in our lives because our old nature died with Jesus, and we rose together with Him as brand new creations - clean and righteous! No matter what our life before knowing Jesus looked like, the devil, who is our accuser, can never hold our past against us. The Bible says Jesus cancelled the record of our wrongdoings that were charged against us when He was nailed to the cross. Those accusations were nailed with Him. Hallelujah! When Jesus came off the cross, they were left nailed to it and that's where they will remain. They don't belong to us anymore! One translation says the very handwriting those accusations were written in has been blotted out - they simply don't exist anymore. Remind the devil of this very powerful truth whenever He tries to intimidate and prevent you from gaining traction in faith. Stand up in confidence, walk in His fullness and move forward in the victory that's yours - because you are free!

Fear Will Flee From You!
"By this we come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we abide (live and remain) in Him and He in us: because He has given (imparted) to us of His [Holy] Spirit."1 John 4:13 (AMPC)
The Bible tells us the Spirit of the Lord rested upon Jesus when He walked among us (Isaiah 11:2). It's noticeably evident His success of ministry and purpose had everything to do with His inseparable relationship with His Heavenly Father through the fellowship and presence of the Holy Spirit in His life. The Holy Spirit is all-knowing, all-present, and all-powerful. 1 Corinthians 2:10 tells us the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God, and communicates them to our spirits. He is the very breath and expression of God; anything He speaks comes directly from the heart of God, and then He transmits it directly to our spirits (John 16:13-15). Since everything we will ever need for life and victory already exists in God, and His Spirit is vitally connected to ours - continuously transmitting divine wisdom and overcoming power into our spirits - there is nothing we cannot overcome while we are in perfect harmony with Him. This is our reality: the Almighty God abides in us and we abide in Him, through His precious Holy Spirit. So make Him your dwelling place, delight in being one with Him and fear of defeat will flee from you the same way light expels darkness - without a fight.
"By this we come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we abide (live and remain) in Him and He in us: because He has given (imparted) to us of His [Holy] Spirit."1 John 4:13 (AMPC)
The Bible tells us the Spirit of the Lord rested upon Jesus when He walked among us (Isaiah 11:2). It's noticeably evident His success of ministry and purpose had everything to do with His inseparable relationship with His Heavenly Father through the fellowship and presence of the Holy Spirit in His life. The Holy Spirit is all-knowing, all-present, and all-powerful. 1 Corinthians 2:10 tells us the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God, and communicates them to our spirits. He is the very breath and expression of God; anything He speaks comes directly from the heart of God, and then He transmits it directly to our spirits (John 16:13-15). Jesus taught that His grace has the ability to save and empower us; and our remaining in union with Him sets us up to stay Kingdom focused, obtain good success, and bear fruit that will last. He also taught the way to live in this empowering grace is by loving Him, and staying in constant fellowship with Him. Prioritizing time to hear His heart, receive His love, and exchange our contaminated thoughts for His Own becomes our life source. That's because His thoughts are filled with life and peace from His written Word. Our fruitfulness comes from the intimate working together with the Holy Spirit, and Jesus showed us how to live in complete unity with Him, as a man. He had the same limitations, restrictions, temptations and emotions we have. It was His yielded life that produced such joy, peace, and power to live each moment representing His Father well. He demonstrated how man really does live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Determine to study the life of Jesus from His Word; take note of every aspect of His life as your own personal model; and enjoy the privilege of being in a most fruitful partnership with the Holy Spirit - for life.
