Heavenly Resources
“When evening came, the disciples came to Him and said, “This is an isolated place and the hour is already late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat!”Matthew 14:15-16 (AMP)
So much about Jesus seems a paradox to this world. The king of all kings over all of creation willingly leaves His position of grandeur to serve and pour out His love and life for His creation. The holy, pure and righteous Son of God, who could not become compromised by sin, became sin for our sake. The measure of kindness and goodness humanity had never before seen was poured out on the despised and broken of this world, the seemingly most unworthy candidates of His mercy. Jesus came to destroy the work of the enemy on this earth and demonstrate a way of life that would bring true joy and fulfilment - living full of His Father's love and pouring it out on others. Always giving, never taking. Even those closest to Him had to be reminded of this kingdom quality. Jesus continuously communicated this truth, that when our lives are completely surrendered to and dependent on the God of Heaven, we can fully rely on Him to supply us with more than enough to give out to the needs of others, to show them His goodness and love towards them. Every day we pass people who have needs. Know today that God has empowered you to be a resource to meet those needs. Start with what you have in your heart and your hands!

Your Intimate Connection with Heaven
“You shall construct it in accordance with everything that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture.”. Exodus 25:9 (AMP)
God gave Moses the blueprint and distinct instructions to build His tabernacle. When Moses was careful to obey each one, the result was God's Presence living in the midst of His people. As New Testament believers, we have become the tabernacle of God! 1 Corinthians 6:19 (AMPC) says, "Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own." We don't have to build the tabernacle; the Holy Spirit built it in us the moment we became born again. What we need to do is live in a way that is worthy of the Presence of God we are housing and carrying with us, wherever we go. This may seem an impossible task; and humanly speaking, it is. But the Holy Spirit's power is constantly at work in us, energising and enabling us to live that life! He has given us the blueprint to model our lives after - the written Word of God; which He makes come alive in our hearts. Never stop being aware of your intimate connection with Heaven; keep it strong, allowing it to dominate the way you live, by yielding to the Holy Spirit as you spend time in God's Word. Deuteronomy 30:11-14 says God's Word in our hearts, minds and mouths makes it easy for us to walk in His ways. Let the Holy Spirit take control, and live from Heaven's perspective!

“What is the benefit, my fellow believers, if someone claims to have faith but has no [good] works [as evidence]? Can that [kind of] faith save him? [No, a mere claim of faith is not sufficient—genuine faith produces good works.]”.James 2:14 (AMP)
Too many Christians live in fear of the devil. In James 4:7, we are told to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us. One translation says to "humble" ourselves before God, and another tells us to "be subject" to God. So, when we submit, humble and subject ourselves to God and His Word, we can permanently put the devil on the run. Confessing the Word of God is vital; but without applying its practical wisdom to our lives, it will have little effect. For instance, if the devil is messing with your finances, choose to tithe and become a joyful giver. If he is making your body sick, refuse to harbour unforgiveness and believe in the healing power of the blood of Jesus. To live free of agitating thoughts, fix your mind on God's truth. If the devil says you aren't worthy to be used mightily of God, make God's Presence your priority; step out in faith and pray for the sick! Actively submitting, humbling and subjecting our lives to the things of God, leaves no space for the devil to harass us. He is defenceless against the power of God's Word at work in us! Remember: God's Spirit inside us gives us the will and ability to receive and apply the practical wisdom of God's Word to our lives. It will strengthen, transform and energise us, making us dangerous to the enemy. So, instead of being on the defensive, submit to God's Word and send the devil on the run!

The Holy Spirit Rest On Him.
“And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him—The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,The Spirit of counsel and strength,The Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the Lord”.Isaiah 11:2 (AMP)
This is how Jesus lived when He walked among us. The Holy Spirit rested upon Him. Yes, Jesus was filled with the Spirit of God, just as we are (Luke 4:1); but He also lived in a way that the Holy Spirit was able to rest upon Him. There was an outward demonstration of God's Presence on the Person of Jesus. He always welcomed, accommodated and yielded to the Holy Spirit. He deliberately chose to keep His flesh under the control of the Spirit. He didn't allow Himself to react to situations, but always relied on the Spirit of wisdom and understanding to govern Him. Before He spoke or acted, He drew from the council and strength of the Holy Spirit - never relying on His natural senses or knowledge. When Father God spoke, Jesus obeyed; when He perceived that His Father was moving in a certain direction, He followed - always loving and honouring Him. Jesus displayed the very image of God the Father, the Word of God made flesh. Jesus is our wonderful example. Not only did He model how to walk this earth in victory, He gave us the very secret: a life yielded to the Holy Spirit, living in and upon us.

Does God require Sabbath-keeping of Christians?
In Colossians 2:16-17, the apostle Paul declares, “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” Similarly, Romans 14:5 states, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” These Scriptures make it clear that, for the Christian, Sabbath-keeping is a matter of spiritual freedom, not a command from God. Sabbath-keeping is an issue on which God’s Word instructs us not to judge each other. Sabbath-keeping is a matter about which each Christian needs to be fully convinced in his/her own mind.
In the early chapters of the book of Acts, the first Christians were predominantly Jews. When Gentiles began to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, the Jewish Christians had a dilemma. What aspects of the Mosaic Law and Jewish tradition should Gentile Christians be instructed to obey? The apostles met and discussed the issue in the Jerusalem council (Acts 15). The decision was, “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood” (Acts 15:19-20). Sabbath-keeping was not one of the commands the apostles felt was necessary to force on Gentile believers. It is inconceivable that the apostles would neglect to include Sabbath-keeping if it was God’s command for Christians to observe the Sabbath day.
A common error in the Sabbath-keeping debate is the concept that the Sabbath was the day of worship. Groups such as the Seventh Day Adventists hold that God requires the church service to be held on Saturday, the Sabbath day. That is not what the Sabbath command was. The Sabbath command was to do no work on the Sabbath day (Exodus 20:8-11). Yes, Jews in Old Testament, New Testament, and modern times use Saturday as the day of worship, but that is not the essence of the Sabbath command. In the book of Acts, whenever a meeting is said to be on the Sabbath, it is a meeting of Jews and/or Gentile converts to Judaism, not Christians.
When did the early Christians meet? Acts 2:46-47 gives us the answer, “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” If there was a day that Christians met regularly, it was the first day of the week (our Sunday), not the Sabbath day (our Saturday) (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2). In honor of Christ’s resurrection on Sunday, the early Christians observed Sunday not as the “Christian Sabbath” but as a day to especially worship Jesus Christ.

Is there anything wrong with worshiping on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath? Absolutely not! We should worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday! Many churches today have both Saturday and Sunday services. There is freedom in Christ (Romans 8:21; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:1). Should a Christian practice Sabbath-keeping, that is, not working on Saturdays? If a Christian feels led to do so, absolutely, yes (Romans 14:5). However, those who choose to practice Sabbath-keeping should not judge those who do not keep the Sabbath (Colossians 2:16). Further, those who do not keep the Sabbath should avoid being a stumbling block (1 Corinthians 8:9) to those who do keep the Sabbath. Galatians 5:13-15 sums up the whole issue: “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.”

Hold Fast
"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope."Psalm 130:5 (NKJV)
Waiting on the Lord isn't a passive stance. It's having an earnest expectation and joyful confidence that He is all His Word says He is, and that He will do all it says He will do. So the posture of a person who is waiting on the Lord is expectant and overwhelmingly grateful. According to God's Word, His promises are "yes"! In other words they are signed, sealed, and delivered. In fact Jesus said the moment we pray and believe, is the moment heaven dispatches those promises to us! Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." So you appropriate, you receive, you take as yours what has been delivered to you - even before you see it in the natural. That's faith, and it-s how we are supposed to live as children of God. In fact, this is what pleases God! Without faith it's impossible to please Him. It's time to hold fast to the faithful nature of your God, lock your eyes on Him and your faith will bring every promise in His Word into your reality. That's because faith is the by-product of fixing our eyes on the One Who is faithful!

*Keep Focus!*
“Curses cannot hurt you unless you deserve them. They are like birds that fly by and never settle..” Proverbs 26:2
Abraham, the father of our faith, kept his focus on God's promises and blessing rather than on fear or the threat of curses. Sadly, many Christians spend too much time worrying about curses, obstacles, or spiritual attacks instead of fixing their eyes on the God who has promised freedom and blessing.
The Bible teaches that all who place their faith in Jesus Christ share in the blessing given to Abraham. When King Balak commanded Balaam to curse Israel, God turned the intended curse into a blessing. This reminds us that no one can ultimately curse those whom God has blessed.
More importantly, Jesus Christ has redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us, so that we might receive God's grace and blessing. Galatians 3:13–14
Instead of living in fear, let your heart be filled with gratitude. Thank the Lord that in Christ He has already blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 1:3.

"You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you]."John 15:3 (AMPC)
Citrus farmers will confirm that few things compare to the joy of an orchard filled with mature trees heavy laden with ripe and juicy fruit, ready for harvest. This illustration can be compared to the excitement of the Lord when His children are living free from bondage, full of His love and faith, and flowing in the power of His Spirit. In the life of a believer, fruit is evidence of the work we have allowed the Holy Spirit to do in our lives. It shows how we have yielded to His power and embraced His Word to become vessels wholly filled and flooded with Him. God's purpose for us is to see us transformed into the very image of His Son, living in perfect harmony with Him, destroying the work of the enemy, and continuously ministering God's goodness and grace to the lives of people everywhere we go. The more we embrace the Word of God and yield to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives; all limitations are removed and pruned off our lives. A life yielded to the work of the Spirit and Word becomes God's masterpiece, displaying the quality and magnificence of His glory to all men - everywhere!

The greatest treasure each believer has ever received is the presence of the Holy Spirit. The moment we become born again, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us. Then, the Bible says we can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, where He infuses us with power, like a fountain of life that energises and strengthens us from the inside. God's presence inside us changes everything about us. Like a mighty gushing river, it flows into every part of us - renewing, refreshing and reviving a fresh passion and zeal to know God more intimately and serve Him wholeheartedly. This power gives us a supernatural boldness and irrepressible joy to share the goodness of Jesus with the world around us. When we learn how to tap into the continuous flow of the grace that exists in the manifested presence of God through the Holy Spirit, we become unstoppable for the kingdom of God here on earth. The Apostle Paul urges us to not be ignorant of this extraordinary gift of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 4:10 tells us to be good trustees of God's many-sided grace which has extremely diverse powers and gifts, granted to us by unmerited favour. Determine to learn all you can about God's greatest gift to you as you discover how to host His Presence flowing in, upon, and through you!

Don't Just Endure - Enjoy!

There is NO Prosperity Gospel. There is only THE GOSPEL, and the result of it is a prosperous life! When we pursue knowing more of God through His Word and through spending time in His Presence, we begin to prosper in every way! Paul prayed that we would receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know the Person of Jesus Christ more fully. That's because personally knowing Jesus doesn't just fill us with strength to endure this life, it causes us to delight in Him and we end up enjoying the fullness of life we have in Him. Psalm 37:4 says delighting in Him causes us to receive the desires of our hearts! The Bible says our lives become enriched by the Spirit of God when we choose to learn all we can about Him and how He operates in our lives. 1 Corinthians 1:5-6 in The Passion Translation says: "In Him you have been made extravagantly rich in every way. You have been endowed with a wealth of inspired utterance and the riches that come from your intimate knowledge of Him. For the reality of the truth of Christ is seen among you and strengthened through your experience of Him." There is nothing compared to knowing the Person of Jesus. It's a life enriched with His goodness, favour, mercy and love. Joy, joy, joy floods the heart of the person who seeks and finds the Lord as his essential necessity in this life!
