Shut the Door

“Then you shall go in and shut the door behind you and your sons, and pour out [the oil you have] into all these containers, and you shall set aside each one when it is full.”.2 Kings 4:4 (AMP)

There are a number of examples in both the Old and New Testaments, of people having to shut the door, for the supernatural power of God to flow. Shutting the door symbolizes putting a stop to the flow of internal doubt and external negative influences. Shutting the door symbolizes closing our eyes to the natural, and allowing God to reveal the supernatural to us. Do you remember the account of Jesus raising Jairus' daughter from the dead? Jesus entered into her room and allowed only her father, mother and three of his disciples to go in with Him, before shutting the door on the wailing mourners. He deliberately closed the door to what would encourage doubt and negativity, and instead He cultivated an atmosphere of sincere love and faith. Fill your home with worship, keep God's Word of truth in your ears - cultivate an atmosphere of faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit to shut out fear and doubt, and expect to see the supernatural power of God at work.

Complete, Lacking Nothing

"And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth."Colossians 3:2 (AMPC)

The benefits of a life focused on God's truth are astounding! We walk in the assurance of our forgiveness of sin and right standing with God for one...which gives us confidence to believe in His promises for us. These promises include our physical healing as the Word quickens our bodies with its life-giving power. Its supernatural wisdom empowers and delivers us from all trouble. God's Word supernaturally transforms us, as it beautifies, dignifies, and crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies! God's Word satisfies us with His truth - renewing our strength to be spiritually and mentally capable to overcome all things! It brings us stability and peace so we can enter His rest and enjoy that quiet, confident trust we have in His faithfulness towards us! Today, choose to starve all other distractions and feast on the truth of God's Word. You will not be disappointed as it makes you complete, lacking nothing!

A New Name

“He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God], to him I will give [the privilege of eating] some of the [a]hidden manna, and I will give him a [b]white stone with a new name engraved on the stone which no one knows except the one who receives it.”.Revelation 2:17 (AMP)

In the time the book of Revelation was written, a white stone symbolised innocence. If you were tried for a crime, a white stone would signify your acquittal and a black stone signified you were found guilty. A black stone implied you would receive punishment fit for your crime, where a white stone meant redemption from the sentence and a clean record for your name. When we choose to live for Christ in a world driven by influences to sin - and we refuse to compromise, holding tightly to the truth - we will overcome. As our faith is tested and we remain determined to rule over sin, we will receive a victor's reward. Perhaps the name engraved on our stones will declare the very things we triumphed over as we kept our faith in Christ Jesus. Perhaps it will be significant to our eternal calling in Christ as we reign with Him forever.
More than Enough

“For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]. 10 And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power].”.Colossians 2:9-10 (AMP)

Words almost fail to describe this kind of love and grace: how the God of the universe, the One who created heaven and earth, so longed to have fellowship and communion with us that He gave what is priceless - His Son, Jesus. Moreover, He chose to have His own Spirit live not in the midst of jewels, precious stones or fancy containers; but He lives in us - His own creation. His presence in our lives is not dormant, but alive and energising. His resurrection power quickens our mortal bodies and enables us to overcome everything that comes against us. The fullness of God is what is living inside us right here, right now! It's time to get our hearts, minds, words, and actions on board with this truth. This way He can display His power through us so people can see, experience and draw near to Him to find true life in Him too. Today become fully aware of the sufficiency of the One who lives inside you. Remember you are in Christ and He is more than enough - trust Him to rule over everything you face in this life.

True North

"You have roamed around this mountain country long enough; turn northward."Deuteronomy 2:3 (AMPC)

If anything will delay God's very best for you, it will be your disobedience! Disobedience to the voice of God causes us to have to take yet another trip around our mountain until we are willing to respond obediently to the truth we receive. It is truth that will guide us step for step right up and over that mountain - conquering it victoriously! It's time to stop roaming around the mountain and time to enter and occupy the Promised Land. God told His people to finally put behind them their consistent stubbornness and distrust, and to take Him at His Word and walk in it. Today, put aside your past doubt, offense or fear; and choose to trust God as you take Him at His Word. Just as He faithfully led His people into their promised land - He will lead you into every one of His promises. Only replace your reluctance to do what His Word says with willing obedience so you can enjoy the blessing He has for you. No more circling the mountain - it's time to go up! Head due North - your promised land awaits you.

*_GOD MAY HAVE REMOVED YOU FROM THAT TABLE_*

Sometimes we feel hurt when certain doors close.

A friendship ends.
A relationship falls apart.
A business partnership dissolves.
An invitation never comes.
A group no longer includes us.

Our first reaction is often, "Why, Lord?"
But sometimes what feels like rejection is actually protection.

*A Powerful Thought:*

_"God may have removed you from a table where you used to sit because He saw the poison that was being served."_

Not every table is meant for you forever.
Not every voice deserves influence in your life.
Not every relationship is healthy.

*Bad Company Influences Good Character*

Scripture warns us:
*1 Corinthians 15:33*
_"Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good character."_

Sometimes the poison isn't obvious.
It may come disguised as:
• gossip
• compromise
• bitterness
• pride
• unhealthy influences
• worldly thinking.

*God Sees What We Cannot.*

We often see the opportunity
God sees the outcome.

We see the open seat at the table.
God sees what is being served.

Because He loves us, He sometimes removes us before the damage is done.

*Abraham and Lot*
When Abraham and Lot separated, it may have seemed like a loss. Yet after the separation, God renewed His promises to Abraham.

*Genesis 13:14–15*
Sometimes God must separate us from certain environments before leading us into His next season.

Trust God's Protection
Not every closed door is an attack.
Not every separation is punishment.
Sometimes it is God's mercy.

Years later, we often look back and realize that God wasn't taking something from us. He was saving us from something.

*FINAL TRUTH:*

If God removed you from a table, don't spend your life trying to get back to that seat.
Ask Him, "Lord, where do You want me to sit?"
Because God's table is always better than the table we lost.

*Psalm 23:5*
_"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies."_

The right table comes from God.

*FOR TODAY:*

Perhaps the closed door, the broken relationship, the missed opportunity, or the unexpected separation wasn't rejection.
Perhaps it was protection.
Trust the One who sees what you cannot.
Because sometimes God removes us from a table that is poisoning us, so He can prepare a better one.
Intimate Father

“Then Jesus, knowing that they were going to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountainside by Himself.”.John 6:15 (AMP)

This particular scripture describes the end of one of Jesus' rather eventful days. After preaching to a crowd of about 5000, he multiplied two fish and five loaves to feed them all. Then saw them begin to rally a small army to forcefully make Him their king. His response to all this was to immediately withdraw from it all and be alone with His Father. Andrew Murray said: "Man needs to be alone with God, to sense again the presence and power of His holiness, of His life, and of His love." That's exactly what Jesus was doing - being alone in the safety of His Father's presence, being filled with His love and life that kept Him securely rooted in His purpose, far from fear and dread. In your secret place is where you will find the essence of real power in the tangible Presence of God. His love will keep you supernaturally charged and empowered to keep walking out His purpose - making a significant difference wherever you are and in whatever you do. Today, choose to walk close to God; realign your priorities with His heart, so you can be a blessing to this generation!

His son's and daughters.

"...For those who honour Me I will honour, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed."1 Samuel 2:30b (AMPC)

Imagine for a moment entering Heaven and without any limitations, seeing the Lord Jesus in all His glory. As you gaze upon Him, you're consumed by His goodness and loving-kindness and become awestruck by His tender mercy towards you. If you were given the choice, would you desire with all your heart, to go back and live life differently? Would everything inside you want to spend each waking moment bringing Him honour? As you see Him in all His splendour and majesty, wouldn't you give everything to have another opportunity to live more intentionally for His purpose alone? In Malachi 3:16-17, it speaks of how God takes careful note of those who fear the Lord, meditate on His Name and constantly, unashamedly speak about Him to others. He says they will become His jewels because they serve Him as devoted sons and daughters. He calls those who are loyal to Him His jewels, who He will remember, treasure, and honour. When we begin to live with an eternal perspective - being loyally devoted to our Heavenly Father as our first priority - we will step into a realm of joy, blessing and deliverance that will last for eternity!

Free To Worship!

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews: “Let My people go, so that they may serve Me.”. Exodus 9:1 (AMP)

God saw the oppression of His people and knew it was time to act. He called Moses to lead His people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. His plan was to take them out of an oppressive system and reaffirm His covenant with them. If they would trust and obey Him, they would experience a journey of supernatural provision and protection. If they would turn their hearts towards Him, they would know a journey of unprecedented blessing in spite of the dangers and opposition they were sure to encounter along the way. Unfortunately, history reveals that instead of hearts full of worship and devotion, the Israelites complained and were ungrateful at every turn. For the first time in 400 years, they were finally able to worship the Lord in freedom, yet their cry was to rather go back to the chains and whips of Egypt. We should remember that we too were once slaves to sin. Let's never take for granted the freedom we have found in Christ Jesus! Today, come before Him with a heart overflowing with love and gratitude for the privilege of intimately knowing His goodness, love and tender care. Worship Him like never before, knowing you truly are free!
God Is For You!

“Then the one (Gabriel) whose appearance was like that of a man touched me again, and he strengthened me. He said, “O man, highly regarded and greatly beloved, do not be afraid. Peace be to you; take courage and be strong.” Now when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’ Daniel 10:18-19 (AMP)

In the moments where you feel overwhelmed by worrisome thoughts, don't give in to them or the emotions of dread they conjure up. Be more determined than ever to fix your thoughts on the truth of what God says about you and your future. Turn your heart towards Him and let Him remind you of the covenant He has established with you. That's what He did for His people in Leviticus 26:9-12. He said, "For I will be leaning toward you with favour and regard for you, rendering you fruitful, multiplying you, and establishing and ratifying My covenant with you...I will set My dwelling in and among you, and My soul shall not despise or reject or separate itself from you. And I will walk in and with and among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people."This is God's promise to you! When fearful thoughts begin to attack your mind, refuse them. They aren't from your Heavenly Father and they don't belong to you. Remember who you are, and Who you belong to! You are precious to God; draw strength from His Word and pull His promises into your life through faith. He is for you, you cannot fail!
