Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb - may Allah preserve him - on the 20th, Muharram, 1441H

📝🔹Question:

What's the reply to those that use as an evidence some narrations which are mentioned in regards to the seeking of blessings (tabarruk) from the righteous.

📩🔸Answer:

Is this person who uses these narrations - which are in need of verification of their authenticity - able to come with a single narration of one of the companions who sought blessings with other than the Prophet ﷺ in his lifetime or after his passing away?!
He will not be able to do this.

◾️GHUSL AND IT'S DIFFERENT TYPES◾️

Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb - may Allah preserve him - on the 2nd, Saffar, 1441H

📝🔹Question:

What are the different steps in the Ghusl (ritual cleansing bath) of the Janaabah (state of major impurity)?
Alongside some proofs please.

And is there anything wrong if one washes without these different steps, and has a regular wash?
Benefit us may Allah bless you.

📩🔸Answer:

Ghusl has two versions: a version which suffices and a complete version.

A) The Ghusl which suffices is that which establishes two affairs:

1) Intention.
2) Covering the entire body with water.

Neither saying bismillah, rinsing the mouth and nose nor rubbing the body are stipulated, upon that which is most correct.

B) The Ghusl which is complete:

"Is to come with ten affairs:

1) Intention.
2) Saying Bismillah.
3) Washing the hands thrice.
4) Washing that which was soiled with impurity.
5) Performing Wudhu.
6) Pouring water on the head thrice saturating the foundations of the hair on the scalp.
7) Pouring water on the rest of the body.
8) Starting with the right side.
9) Rubbing the body with the hands.
10) Moving away from the place where one performed the Ghusl to then wash ones feet."

◾️The rulings surrounding keeping a dog for guarding◾️

Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb - may Allah preserve him - on the 18th, Muharram, 1439H

📝🔹Question:

What’s the ruling on keeping a dog to guard a house?

📩🔸Answer:

“A house being at the centre of a city doesn’t require a dog to guard it, therefore the acquisition of a dog for this purpose in such a case is prohibited, impermissible. Likewise it decreases good deeds from the one doing so, everyday a Qiraat or two.

However if this house was in a rural area and no one being around it, then it’s permissible to acquire a dog to guard the house and those in it.
And guarding the people of the house is more important than guarding lifestock and crops.”

◾️He who abandons the prayer is a disbeliever, and a disbeliever doesn’t hold guardianship over a believer◾️

Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb - may Allah preserve him - on the 17th, Muharram, 1439H

📝🔹Question:

A woman wants to get married however her father doesn’t pray.
Is it still possible for him to be her guardian?

If not, she has a maternal uncle that’s upright (in the religion), is it possible that he takes the position of guardianship over her?

📩🔸Answer:

It’s not permissible for her father to marry her off, while he’s in the condition of abandoning the prayer, and because a disbeliever does not have guardianship over a Muslim.

Likewise it’s not permissible for the (maternal) uncle to marry her off, as he’s not from the band of those that can take this place.
