📝🔹Question:

May Allah extend your life, Shaykh Abu Hamzah.

What is the correct position on paying zakaat for the merchandise which is set for business, and is not paying it a sin?

📩🔸Answer:

The majority obligate paying zakaat on it, and their evidences; when authentic is not clearcut, and what is clearcut is unauthentic.

For this reason a number of scholars, the likes of: Ibn Hazm, Ash-Shawkaani, Al-Albaani and our Shaykh, Shaykh Al-Waadi'i, chose that there is no zakaat to be paid on it, and this is what is leant towards, due to the basis in the affairs being inculpability, so we do not obligate anything on the wealth of the people except through clear evidence, and Allah, the Most High, knows best.

For indeed, some ikhwāni notions are sensed from his fatāwa and his knowledge-based explanations, Wallahul-Musta'ān (and Allah is the one sought for aid).

📝🔹Question:

O Shaykh there’s an oft repeated important question, regarding the condition of Shaykh Suleymaan Ar-Ruheyli, so what is the decisive position concerning him?

May Allah preserve and honour you.

📩🔸Answer:

Suleymaan Ar-Ruheyli, may Allah grant us and him success. We used to have good thoughts of him, and we'd say that he was okay, however the reality is that his status was shaken after his fatwa on voting and his watering down of this topic, and likewise his detrimental stance on Muhammad Al-imaam and Al-‘Adani, and his praise on them also.

Similarly his descending upon the hizbi charity organisations in the UAE, are from the reasons which make us not lean towards him in the likes of these affairs today, which have become from the distinguished separating factors between Ahlus-sunnah and the people of bigoted partisanship.

Wallaahul-Musta'aan (And Allah is the one sought for aid)

📝🔹Question:

An individual sold a house to another individual. The transaction was completed, the buyer took residence in his new house, payed off some of the fee, with the outstanding remaining as a loan respited until he is able to pay it off.
However the seller stipulated on the buyer that he should pay rent for the house, until he repays what’s upon him, of the cost of the house.

What’s the ruling on this action? And does it enter into the prohibition of making two transactions within a single transaction?

📩🔸Answer:

It’s impermissible, because its dictating on that which one doesn’t actually own, as well as stipulating gain, in return for a loan, and this is Riba (usury) and Allah knows best.

📝🔹Question:

What are the words of remembrances, which are said after completing the prayers?

📩🔸Answer:

1: Istighfaar, three times:

أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ
Astaghfirullah (I ask Allah for forgiveness)

2: Allahumma anta As-Salaam...:

اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

"Allahumma anta asalaam wa minka asalaam tabarakta ya dhal-Jalaaleel wal-ikraam"

(O Allah, You are the One Who is free from all defects and deficiencies and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour)

3: La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu...:

لا إلهَ إلاَّ اللَّه وحْدهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ، ولَهُ الحمْدُ، وَهُو عَلَى كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدِيرٌ

"La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer."

(There is no god that has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone with no partner or associate, His is the sovereignty and to Him be praise, and He is Able to do all things.)

4: Aayutul-Kursi:

(اللّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ
وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاء وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ
وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ)

"Allahu la ilaha illa Huwa, Al-Haiyul-Qaiyum, La ta’khudhuhu sinatun wala nawm, lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-‘ard, man dhal-ladhi yashfa’u indahu illa bi-idhnihi Ya’lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahum, wala Yuhituna bi shai’im-min ‘ilmihi illa bima sha’a, Wasi’a kursiYuhu-samawati wal ard, wala ya’uduhu hifdhuhuma Wa Huwal ‘Aliyul-Adheem."

(Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission?! He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great)

4: Surahtul-Ikhlaas:

(بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ، اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ، لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ، وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ)

"Bismillahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem,
Qul Huwal laahu ahad,
Allah hus-samad,
Lam yalid wa lam yoolad,
Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad."

(In the name of Allah, The most Merciful, Bestower of mercy, Say "He is Allah, the One,
The Self-Sufficient Master,
Whom all creatures need,
He neither eats nor drinks,
He begets not, nor was He begotten,
And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him.")

5: The Mu'awithatayn, An-Naas & Al-Falaq:

(بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ مَلِكِ النَّاس، إِلَٰهِ النَّاس، مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاس، الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاس، مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ)

"Bismillahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem
Qul ‘authu bi rabin naas,
Malikin naas, Ilaahin naas,
Min sharril waas waasil khaan naas,
Al-lathi yuwas wisuu fee sudoorin naas, minal jinnati wan naas."

(In the name of Allah, The most Merciful, Bestower of mercy, Say: "I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind,
The King of mankind
The Ilah (God) of mankind,
From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men)
Who whispers in the breasts of mankind,
Of jinns and men.")

(بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ، مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ، وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ، وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ)

"Bismillahir-rahmaanir-raheem
Qul a'uthuu bi Rabbil-falaq,
Min sharri ma Khalaq,
Wa min sharri ghasiqin itha waqab,
Wa min sharrin-naffaa-thaati fil 'uqad,
Wa min shar ri haasidin itha hasad."


(In the name of Allah, The most Merciful, Bestower of mercy,
Say: "I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak,
From the evil of what He has created,
And from the evil of the darkening (night) as it comes with its darkness; (or the moon as it sets or goes away).
And from the evil of the witchcrafts when they blow in the knots,
And from the evil of the envier when he envies)

7: At-Tasbeeh, thirty three times:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ
Subhanallah (Glory to Allah, free is He from any imperfections)

8: At-Tahmeed, thirty three times:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
Alhamdulilah (All praises be to Allah)

9: At-Takbeer, thirty four times:

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Allahu akbar (Allah is most great)

10: Then when finishing the hundred, Laa illaha ill-Allah wahdahu...:

لا إلهَ إلاَّ اللَّه وحْدهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ، ولَهُ الحمْدُ، وَهُو عَلَى كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Human urine is impure, including infants. It has to be purified from your body and clothes, if it was to soil you, and it doesn’t nullify the Wudhu (ablution).

The Sunnah is to point with the index finger without moving it, during the entire sitting (of the Tashahhud).

That which is intended is sitting in the masjid remembering Allah until sunrise, even if a person moved from the place they prayed at, and Allah knows best.

Is it permissible to supplicate with the supplication of Yunus ﷺ:

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

(Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innee kuntu minal thaalimeen)
“There is no God who has the right to be worshipped except You, Glory be to You, distant are You from any imperfections”

📩🔸Answer:

Yes it’s permissible.

As It comes in the Hadith narrated by Sa’d bin abi Waqaas, that the Prophet ﷺ said:

دَعْوَةُ ذِي النُّونِ إِذْ دَعَا وَهُوَ فِي بَطْنِ الحُوتِ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَدْعُ بِهَا رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا اسْتَجَابَ اللَّهُ لَهُ

“The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Prophet Yunus ﷺ) when he supplicated, while in the belly of the whale was:


لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

-There is none worthy of worship except You, free of any deficiencies and glory be to You, Indeed, I have been of the transgressors-

For indeed, no Muslim supplicates with it for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him.”

What’s the reply to this doubt?

📩🔸Answer:

There's far less corruption in us accompanying our women while seeking their treatment with male doctors, than the corruption which occurs in schools and universities due to free-mixing.

If a woman finishes (her menses) at the time of ‘Asr, is it obligatory upon her to pray Dhuhur and ‘Asr?

📩🔸Answer:

She is not obligated to pray besides the prayer wherein she finished her menses in its time period; this is due to the departure of the time period of the previous prayer while she was in a state of having a legislated excuse, so its not obligatory upon her, similar to if she were not to be able to catch anything of the second time period, the basis is inculpability.

It’s impermissible, due to the statement of Allah, the Most High:

اتَّبِعُوا مَا أُنزلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَلا تَتَّبِعُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ قَلِيلا مَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

“Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord (the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Sunnah), and follow not any Auliya' (protectors and helpers, etc) besides Him (Allah). Little do you remember!
