On the way up the social ladder,

Building alliances, learning to read people and thinking ahead of your competitors in every move, you should be careful not to become a neurotic.

Always keep the balance between being the jovial calf and the cold reading wolf.

Do good deeds because you're a good man.

Don't do good deeds so that people say you're a good man.

Intention matters.

"Oh but the end result is the same!"

You're correct but not completely.

Yes, your actions will have a positive impact on the world no matter the underlying intention.

But let me explain the difference.

If you do good deeds to get approval:

1- That doesn't make you a good person.

2- You will not get the self-satisfaction of doing good.

The reason behind is that you do not do good out of pure kindness.

You do it to get something back.

Which is acknowledgement.

That's unhealthy for you.

Doing good deeds should never come from an intention of impressing others.

These are things you do and never talk about.

It should come from the heart and remain your own secret.

This will give you immense peace of mind.

The only person you need to prove yourself to is YOURSELF.

Do not rely on external judgment and approval for ANYTHING.

It should NEVER be the reason behind your actions.

Seek self-satisfaction not social approval.

Don't engage in endless explanations.

You will doubt yourself.

If you're confident, go and do it.

You'll soon know if you were wrong and you'll acquire experience at the same time.

Reframe this in your mind:

There is nothing wrong with making mistakes, it's enriching.

Do not fear failure.

Look forward to its lessons.

Not everyone's advice is worth listening to.

Take calculated risks, but it's imperative that you fuck up.

There is no way around it.

Pain IS the process.
Trust the process.
Trust the pain.

It means you're growing.

Risk takers almost always achieve more than the risk averse.

That's only half the truth.

Risk takers also fuck up more often and are more likely to commit fatal mistakes.

Yes, you should definitely more prone to taking risks, that's what life is about.

Yes, you should listen to your intuition more often.

I agree with all that.

But you should also be sharp and smart about the risks you take.

It always needs to be calculated.

Even if you're going to follow your gut on something, you need to thoroughly think about everything else that is involved.

Listen, I've seen people fuck up their whole lives over one small decision.

It almost happened to me.

One simple thing that makes you smarter than most people is to simply be able to understand and forecast consequences and how you'll handle them.

Uncertainty cannot be eradicated; but it must be reduced.

Don't act like a brainless chicken.

That's not what taking risks mean.

I will be hosting a Twitter space with Atlas on Wednesday 31st at 8PM GMT.

We will have a very special guest.

Dr. Anthony Metivier is a memory specialist, mentalist, magician and is a PhD holder.

Let's just say the man knows what he's talking about.

I think this would be a great opportunity to learn from a professional rather than the average Twitters doods.

Hope to see many of you attend 🥂
