Persuasion and Rhetoric Lesson.

What if you could reshape and mold people's thoughts?

What if you could redefine their beliefs?

What I'm about to explain and introduce is one of the most powerful conversational skills you could ever develop.

The ability to Reframe.

It is often use by lawyers (to convince the jury) or by Spiritual "gurus" and cult leaders to exercise mind control over their cult members.

You know who else does it? The media and governments.

Reframing is undeniably a powerful tool but it's also a dangerous one.

But as I always say, how you use the information in my posts is up to you and none of my business.

Anyway.

Reframing consists of twisting facts and proposing alternative scenarios.

But the most important part of it consists of first demonstrating that the initial frame is wrong and inconsistent.

You will then introduce an alternative scenario by remodeling what is factual and leveraging the inconsistencies you pointed to count in your favor.

It is extremely difficult to explain a concept like Reframing.

It's been a while that I've wanted to talk about this and I finally did.

I will get more in depth in this topic in an article in SSU.

Thought I'd introduce the idea to you:

You cannot get manipulated if you don't give people something to leverage against you.

Before thinking of how you should deal with a manipulator, you should prevent the manipulator from targeting you.

And if they still do, you should avoid disclosing information that could be used against you or putting yourself in an emotional position that can be used against you.

Understand that manipulation only happen when there is something to leverage.

The less they know, the less they can ruin.
