It often distorts past reality's harshness to give you a sense of comfort in current time
Therefore, a wise man trusts words over his own mind
You can document the pitfalls, so that in future, you don't repeat the same mistakes again
The whole point, is you equip yourself with suitable weapons, before going to war
Here, weapon is analogous to dreaded mistakes and reality from the past
It makes you feel how bad that was
It warns you to prepare accordingly, so you don't face such situations ever again

Ambiguous euphemistic language used chiefly in political propaganda.
The aim of Newspeak is to make expressing ideas as difficult as possible.
Which ultimately makes the propagandist dictate what you associate words with.
It is a smooth way of keeping control over people thoughts by making the expression of ideas as complicated as possible.
In his book, the government is called The Ministry of Truth.
As such, anything that comes from the government is the absolute truth.
When everything that the government disagrees with becomes automatically wrong and false.
Now think about how this is used very commonly by the media nowadays.

But who checks the fact checkers?

The rule of social exchange: The reason why some succeed while others fail.
Exchange is the currency of all social relations. This is a simple concept that many people do not understand, or simply forget to apply.
In this post, I will make sure you understand this concept that is so crucial to your personal and professional success.
Everyone seeks to have social relationships that will improve their situation. No one wants to be taken for a ride by anyone (take without giving).
Everyone is looking for a network of people who can help them advance their goals. Not dead weight that costs them more than they bring in.
People are therefore willing to exchange "value" if they feel they are getting something out of the exchange, or at least if the exchange seems fair.
This is the reason why some people are over-solicited by those around them, while others suffer from being invisible to others.
It is a question of social capital. The higher your social capital, the higher your status in society.
Unconsciously, humans keep track of who gives value, and who does not. We all do this.
We are all social value calculators.
This is what makes people say, for example:
"I like X a lot" or on the contrary, "I like Y less and less, I don't feel much like talking to him."
The result of this calculation therefore influences the behaviour of people towards each other.
Back to you.
Your goal is to collect as many social points as possible, which you can turn into real advantages in life. Your target is to be a social credit merchant for as many people as possible.
This is your social capital.
This will allow you to exchange this capital for favours that will improve your chances of success, whether in business, in your job or even in your romantic relationships.
Social value can take many forms, but there are two main types:
- Character value (sense of humour, charm, ability to make others feel good about themselves, etc.)
- Material value (a woman's beauty, a man's competence...)
Here are a few rules to help you find your way around, and amass a maximum of social capital:
1. To get what you want, give people what they want.
2. Avoid rejection by developing your ability to solve as many problems for as many people as possible (or just the potential to do so).
3. Develop your ability to offer social value by providing services, become a service broker, the famous "I know someone who knows someone who might have a solution to your problem". Use your relationships as social leverage.
4. If your social status is low, make sure you have something of value to offer, or at least the credible promise of having something to offer in the near future. The key in the latter case is that the promise must be credible, achievable and desirable. Don't hesitate to lose out on a short-term social transaction if it will help you achieve your long-term goals.
5. Keep a positive social exchange with everyone.
6. Don't be a pest. If you take, you give. Not only do you raise your social status, but you build a reputation for yourself.

Self-talk, Neuroscience and Neuroplasticity
You've often heard about self-talk being the central piece of your mindset and happiness.
But they don't tell you how to do it.
The thing is each experience you go through, including the simple fact of thinking and talking to yourself, impacts the physical shape of your brain.
That's what Neuroplasticity means.
As such, your thoughts have a physical effect on your brain.
That's what they mean by rewiring your brain.
In fact, you are constantly doing so.
As such, you should consider breaking out of the labels that have been put you in order to help yourself get out of your own mind.
That's how you break the mold.
Going back to self-talk, here are a few tips to properly talk to yourself.
1- No negative thoughts:
This is undoubtedly the easiest yet the most important aspect.
Just know that you can reframe anything.
You lost money? That was the price of the lesson.
You failed? Nope, you gained experience.
You were betrayed because of naivety? No, they just didn't deserve your genuineness so you'll be more careful next.
It is essential that you acquire the skill of reframing your own ideas to help them help you get better.
Otherwise it's called self-sabotage.
You don't want that.
2- Self-distance:
Instead of thinking as I, talk to yourself as You or by calling yourself by your name at first.
As such, you get a distance to judge your actions without being hard on yourself.
You distance yourself from your actions and talk to yourself as if it was someone else.
You will unknowingly try to motivate yourself because you will feel unconcerned.
This will also feel less forced than starting with affirmation as you'll feel like someone else is giving you advice.
Be your own support system.
"Great job, Ego but you'll do better next time."
As opposed to
"Great but I should do better"
I don't know if you can sense it, but the second one has a blaming tone.
It sounds like self-pity or a judgemental sentence.
Oppositely, the former is framed so that it sounds like positive reinforcement.
That is what self-compassion sounds like.
PS: This tip is for beginners as affirmations with I are far more powerful but they might sound delusional to someone who is not used to positive self-talk.

This one might sound silly but this is what self-awareness means.
By being able to name your emotion you can properly deal with it.
"Okay Ego, you're feeling angry let's see why"
"what's going on anger? why did you manifest today"
You'll see that answers will come by themselves.
You will automatically think of what caused you said emotion and realize the logic (the cognitive part) behind your emotion.
It will simply make more sense and you will go from angry to compassionate and understanding.
Don't let your emotions run the show.
Talk to them assertively as if they were some neighborhood kids bothering your sunbathing.
You politely and calmly ask them what brings them there before asking them to go away.
You are the bigger person, your emotions are part of you but they don't know better than you.
Lastly:
Understand that your consciousness should be running the show.
Understand that your choices and way you think impact your overall mental health and wellbeing.
Dont let subconscious reactions define who you are.
Take control over what you feel, think and how you behave.
You will feel free and powerful.
