๐น Don't miss out on the Filament Purge Contest!โจ
While we work on further reducing the waste generated during multi-color and multi-material prints, we've come up with an exciting idea for our newest contest: recycling purged filament and transforming it into new designs
We would love to see various ideas for reusing and incorporating the purged filament into different new uses.

๐น Major Update To Reduce Purge WasteโโSave up to 25% ๐ โค๏ธ ๐
We're excited to introduce a significant update to the AMS aimed at reducing filament purge!
Our new "Long retraction when cut" feature can save up to 25% of filament purge volume during filament change. For now, this feature will be available as a public beta release in Bambu Studio, supporting Bambu PLA Basic and Bambu PETG Basic on X1-Carbon printers by default.
We plan to expand compatibility to include all X/P series and other filaments in future updates.
To experience this update firsthand, download the public beta version of Bambu Studio at [Reduce Purge Waste] and update your X1C printer to firmware version 1.07.03.00. Special thanks to LeonFisherSkipper on GitHub for sharing this brilliant idea with us!

๐น Embracing OpenSCAD community: Introducing the Parametric Model Maker! ๐ ๐ ๐
Parametric Model Maker is the latest addition to the MakerWorld suite of tools, now live in MakerLab! https://makerworld.com/en/makerlab/parametricModelMaker
If you're new to OpenSCAD, itโs a script-based modeling tool that empowers creators to design 3D objects using code.
Unlike traditional CAD tools, OpenSCAD's parametric designs allow for dynamic adjustments of parameters pre-export, giving you full creative control. https://github.com/openscad/openscad/
With Parametric Model Maker, you get a straightforward way to change those parameters, an instant preview of what your model will look like, and then turn OpenSCAD scripts into models you can print. Start with the community-contributed examples to get the hang of it!
Coming Soon: Parametric Model Maker will be further integrated with MakerWorld's Models very soon. Models with OpenSCAD scripts will be customizable by users with a fluid and immersive experience.
If you like making things with OpenSCAD, now is a great time to upload your designs for everyone to experience & explore!โ

๐น Update for the A1 Heatbed Recall in Europe
First of all, we sincerely apologize for the unexpected information provided to EU customers. However, please rest assured that regardless of the specific requirements, we will make every effort to alleviate the burden and assist A1 users throughout the process, taking responsibility for the recall.
Here is a brief explanation:
When we announced the comprehensive recall on February 4th, with a sense of responsibility towards our A1 users, we promptly initiated a voluntary recall and provided what we believed to be reasonable options for users to choose from, to avoid any risk concerns and provide the quickest solutions to everyone.
We have to admit that, at that time, we did not have enough time to carefully study the specific regulatory requirements in various regions, and we failed to provide specific instructions tailored to users in different regions.
At that time, we only mentioned in the official blog that in some countries, due to regulations, this self-replacement of the bed by the customer may not be an option.
During this optimization period, we have been dedicating our efforts to both technical improvements and testing validation of the heatbeds. Additionally, we are actively seeking legal compliance advice regarding the recall in relevant regions.
Our goal is to complete the recall in a lawful and compliant manner, ensuring the protection of users' safety and legitimate interests.
Based on the professional legal opinion and comprehensive evaluations, we have the obligation to truthfully inform European users about the inspection requirements of the machine after repair due to the requirements of the EU EN50678 standard (General procedure for verifying the effectiveness of the protective measures of electrical equipment after repair) or any applicable local equivalent standard.
In short, the EU EN50678 standard aims to ensure that the essential protective measures continue to function after a repair.
For the A1 heatbed replacement scheme, the crucial point is to ensure that the heatbed power wires, electrical wire insulation and the yellow-green ground wire, which serve as a protective measure, are correctly reconnected.
Therefore, as a corporation, it is our duty to ensure that the relevant procedures are carried out effectively.
This is also the rationale behind our request for you to take photographs.
Additionally, we would like to explain that we encourage users to take three key photos during the replacement process, of the aforementioned locations.
This will give us an opportunity to assist in confirming the correct procedure for the entire replacement process, thereby avoiding any unforeseen issues or risks in future usage.
If you are unsure whether your cable connections are correct, we are here to provide continuous assistance.
We have urgently sought out institutions with the appropriate qualifications to help everyone.
Please rest assured that all related expenses will be covered by us, and the promised new heatbed and corresponding discount code will be sent to the customers.
If you need assistance, please reply to us on the original ticket, and we will provide specific instructions.

๐ข FAQ for MakerWorld Boost System
Our Boost System has been operational for a few days, and weโre actively gathering feedback to continually improve it and address any concerns. Below are some of the most common questions users have asked about our boost system, and weโll provide clear answers to each.
Q1: What is the difference between 'Boost Received' and the 'Boost Tokens' in our accounts?
* The 'Boost Token' you get is intended for you to boost models according to your preference. (labeled in blue)
* The 'Boosts Received' are the boosts you received from other users (labeled in red).
You can redeem your received boosts and convert them into points. 1 boost can be converted into 11 points, which is equivalent to \~1$ gift card pre-tax.
Q2: Will Boosts expire?
* 'Boosts Received' will not expire.
* 'Boost Tokens' will expire in 14 days from the date of receipt.
We've introduced this expiration date to encourage users to thoughtfully select models for boosting and to use their tokens promptly.
To accommodate the distribution of boost tokens, we have adjusted the incentive level of the previous download-based system. However, our intention was not to decrease the overall budget. The current decrease in incentives is primarily due to a small fraction of users using their boost tokens. So if you have boost tokens left in your account, show your appreciation by boosting your favorite designs!
We anticipate a transition period as users familiarize themselves with the boost system and begin actively supporting designers. Weโll closely monitor the impact on overall incentives and adjust accordingly to ensure a fair and sustainable system for all users.
Q3: Are only BambuLab printer users given Boost Tokens?
No. You can be given Boost Tokens even if you don't have a BambuLab printer.
To mitigate risks, initially, accounts associated with BambuLab printers will have a higher likelihood of receiving Boost Tokens. We'll further develop our Boost Token Delivery system to accurately allocate tokens to active users, minimizing the chance of distribution to potential bots or spam accounts.
Q4: Is it true that 1 boost = 1 dollar gift card?
The conversion rate given is pre-tax, so the actual amounts might differ depending on your local tax regulations. Our intention is to align the value of our boost to approximately $1. Upon receiving a boost, you can convert it for 11 MakerWorld points.
Hopefully, our responses are able to address some of your concerns, and we encourage more of you to use your boosts to reward your favorite models and designs! Please feel free to let us know if you have any further questions or encounter any issues regarding our Boost System in the comments below. Weโll do our best to address them as promptly as possible.
Thanks for your continued support!
